My favorite type of card making: simple supplies, simple design! I tend to get overwhelmed with supplies, buy a few things and end up with a mish-mash of stuff that I use once. Thanks, Kristina, for making cards using my favorite medium!
I make cards like this all the time. I even let my 4 year old granddaughter paint and then it’s my challenge to make flowers out of her paintings!!! So much fun❤️
This card makes my heart sing! When I first saw it before the video began, I thought this was such a lovely flower stamp...but then the surprise was revealed! It's nice to see your technique so we can now create our own lovely flower "stamp" sets!
Made one of these today. Came out nicely and I really appreciate seeing an easier card to make. I make cards all the time with die cuts and stamping and fancy tools - but how nice to just add some splotches of color and some doodles! Really love this card. Please do more!
Thanks, Amber! I have quite a few like this that I've shared over the years here on my UA-cam channel (search for "K Werner Design Easy DIY" and they'll pop up). I even based an online class on this idea... www.onlinecardclasses.com/product/simply-watercolor/
Oh, this was so fun! I really did not think i could do it because i still cannot draw a simple petal! Our windows are covered and our electricity is limited due to the heat, so i will have to wait until morning to discover the true colors... I think a reddish pink and peach variations. The drawings had some similarities, but rather crude since, as mentioned, I cannot seem to get the hang of making petals. Also, my pens are in storage as i am moving. I ended up using a fine sharpie and a precise V7 fine hiding in my brush box. It was ok, but challenging. I found a another, but it had dried out. Drawing pens do that way too fast even when covered. If you have advice, i bet we all would love it! My flowers look a bit walked on. I am making "Thank You" cards and wanted to be sure they were not ridiculous, so took a picture of several cards I painted. Also, I have been trying for years to get my friends interested in water colors and they shrugged me off and patted me on the head, you know what i mean? But tonight they asked me how on earth i colored the penned flowers like that! 😄 They were so surprised and loved it! They want to try! Thank you! Oh, i pray they do! This is the first time the one friend liked my picture, even. She is a hard nut to crack! My artist friend loves it all. She tried to help me with perspective, but... I still struggle. Anyhow, thank you for this sunshine to adapt and share! It really means a lot.
I LOVE your Card and wonderful idea to try with minimal supplies too! Cardmaking doesn't always have to be complex, it's great to do simple designs and yet still create something pretty!
Kristina, finally I got to review tutorial that has been sitting in my e mails for a bit now. I cannot wait to try this idea, I love it, it gives challenged people like me hope. I love making cards, the more hand made and hand colored the better, this one has my name all over it. Thank you soooo very much for this wonderful tutorial. Blessings!
Short and sweet...I love the whimsical flower so much, will be making a birthday card for my niece everything whimsical and with a butterfly added to the scene. Thanks
I love this card and since I have a hand tremor it will just look intentional if it has a little “shake” to it. These would be so easy to make multiples of. I think I’ll paint a few this afternoon and draw the flowers tonight while watching TV with the hubs! Thanks for a great idea!!
I definately have to give this a try, and whats great is I have these supplies! Thanks for this simple but adorable card! Love all your vids. Stay healthy and safe.
This is so amazing, Kristina. I thought before watching that you had masked off parts of a stamp from Simon. Lol. But no, you frickin' DREW by hand. I love it. I might have to give this a try!
My favourite sister and I are doing a long distance challenge to “embrace wonky flowers”. Always love when you use your watercolour and add pen doodles!
I love anything floral… this card is super cute! My nephew is a special need kid and he loves dinosaurs, maybe on your next video you can show us how to draw a Dino 🦖 for a birthday card 😄
The beauty is in the simplicity. I love that you’re using Crayola watercolors.
