Activision is being so short sighted with their older COD games. Spend a couple million dollars on controller support and advertise heavily that all these games play flawlessly at max setting on the Steam Deck.
It's not the problem that "no one is playing this game anymore", it's the problem that for a couple years now, if you buy this game, you don't actually get this game, so basically you can't play multiplayer at all, can't do coop campaign, or coop zombies. So solo campaign is the only thing you're able to do in this game anymore on Steam unless you use Plutonium.
You can play the game, people jist don’t go through the trouble of port forwarding to host their own matches, I’m sure there’s a few multiplayer servers around in vanilla and maybe some zombies matches if you’re lucky. Bet plutonium would work better as you’ve said already
@@PartyCrasher04 If you have a copy of the game from before they stopped giving you a key you can still play, yeah, but newer copies don't let you make an online profile to play a match

and fix the dang MP
i think thats because if they do it then the newer games (which have more microtransactions) will have less players thus less money
I couldn’t get waw to run natively but by switching to proton ge 7-15 the game works flawlessly once you get your controls the way you want them to be
I wont lie, i got a little fearful when you said you were gonna test the multiplayer. Those early CoDs are a security risk to play online on PC, lol

I'm sure the original commenter knows this by now, but for anyone finding this, they fixed MP last year, new accounts can play it again.
how did you get the controls to work ??
first round is the knife round . nice video !
First 2 or 3 are knife rounds lol
I use 1911+knife to maximize points
The game crashed when i tried to change the resolution😢could you tell me which compatibility layer do u use?
Try proton ge 7-15
awsome video btw
Why didnt you test the start server option ,you could seen if the game loads a map well
I got the game to run, but nothing works except the touchscreen
You can enable controller support with the console
do u need windows to play it?
The insufferable urge to buy a steam deck to play custom zombies while out of town working
You'll get used to this slow sensitivity
👍🏻 👌🏼
i love world at war
i would alwhys hit the like button
The game doesn’t even launch for me
Same for me too. Can’t get passed “Running install script for directx”
@@DoubleRRHonda try running two games at once kinda worked for me
@@darknightzombie2639 I decided to shutdown the deck and right before it went black, it loaded and worked.
@DoubleRRHonda I recommend you are in desktop when you start it. Then you can get it working. I've gotten it working.
@mattdias6689 desktop made it work. thanks a lot dude
