Everyone nationally can't stop talking about the Lions defense. Here's the thing. The defense has been banged up all year and they have won most of those games. Rich Eisen had them #5 on his "power rankings" this week. #5. For a 14-2 team. Some national media still think the Packers are better than the Lions even after we beat them TWICE. Talk about disrespect. They can't figure out how to put a number on Grit so they just ignore it. Can't wait to see how they rationalize another win after they've been picking against them every week saying "eventually their defense is going to cost them." Sure. Maybe. But that's not exactly a meaningful critique. Why don't they just admit they don't understand why the Lions are great and carry on? I guess the need to choose a narrative and promote it endlessly is more important.
Another big irony in terms of numbers lions in MCDC / Brad era has won 3,9,12 wins and expecting which number tomorrow that’s right another increase by 3 wins to 15 possibly
Our D is sooo bad. I’m pretty disappointed in the ownership for not going all in. The window in the NFL can be so short that playing the long game when you’re close is risky. I can’t imagine our defense holding up to get us to the Super Bowl let alone winning it. We will see, but it will be sad to see this slip away.
@ How in the world does it not make sense? Vikings defense has to go against more passing volume relative to like every other team, which will skew the statistical ranking. If you need more proof that the Vikings defense is good; they are currently 4th best scoring defense in the league, meaning they allow relatively low points

Not afraid, but the reality is we our outscoring teams to win and that is not sustainable. We barely beat Chicago, GB and SF. Even if we beat Minny it will be tough to win the big one only through offense. It’s also 50+ years of learned behavior. We’ve been let down so often that memories are hard to get over
