the restraint not to put the 999 hit counter on the thumbnail despite it actually being real is commendable tbh
not only that, but just doing the same combo for who knows how long that took executing that without fail
@@NexusWulf99you can just macro it
@@LLLplusprobably just a bit of practice for desk tho
@@LLLplus You can, but I don't think desk does. Desk is like the original GOAT of lab monsters. I remember losing my mind at stuff from this channel back in SSFIV.
That juri combo is on the spot 💀🖐️
hoping to see juri in a top 8 soon
@@ryu.hayebusain a top 8 again you mean? CEO had hella Juri. Even grand finals had Juri.
@@jesperlarsen9188 EVO didn't have Juri in top 28 though
@@Squigi my point is that it hasn't even been 3 weeks since we saw Juri in a top 8. Juri will be in plenty of top 8's
Even the combos had rhythm for the background beat
😂🔥
Dee Jay is pleased
*Sonic-BOOM!-kick-Sonic-BOOM-kick-Sonic-BOOM!*
Shout out to the SF3: New Generation Elena Arrangement. That soundtrack was great for its time.
slept on for sure. I still have all the music on a file in my computer
good job Desk u must be tired from that 999+ combo here have some choc milk 🍫🥛
dang man, can i get some too?
This Sunday was just the best. First an amazing EVO and now more Desk content!
I was waiting for you to say "don't ask me to go over 9999 hits" 😂
I think the reason the infinite system is only in the avatar battle is because you can fight other people online with custom characters
its also probably a balance thing because its EXTREMELY easy to make infinite combos with mixing moves.
and it wouldnt be too good of a single player experience if you could just rofl stomp the entire story with 2 moves.
usually thats earned by the end of a single player experience.😆
@@ArcRay20 speccing all the punch buffs and using Marisa's style is pretty much roflstomping. Barely anyone was a challenge. Regular enemies died in 1-2 hits max.
They trust their versus balancing, respect.
Versus, huh? Wonder what that means for the future.
They knew the drive gauge had them covered
If this is the Desk I knew from Neoempire a couple of times from 2008/9... well, good to see you still at it.
Can we just appreciate how at 1:03 that sonic boom combo is perfectly in time with the beat and is quite a bop
Music is from the Street Fighter III New Generation Arranged album if anyone is wondering. Love that album so much.
You've just earned another subscriber!
does the infinite prevention still happen if you change the loop every few reps or so? like right before the prevention kicks in drive rush into like 2hp 2mk sonic boom and then the next time 5mp 2mk eventually you run out of bar with this but just thinking on how you could change it.
My guess would be it simply checks the number of times each move is used in the combo.
its good that there is no combo prevention systems. Its fun practice to see how many times you can loop it.
Great info Desk !
Love your avi's drip btw Desk~♥
Have you had the chance to test combos in live Avatar battles? I guess you'd need someone's help to film those. Would be interesting to see the possibilities especially vs an avatar that has maxxed out body and parts sizes
Plot Twist: Capcom took the recovery off in training mode because they knew desk was going to test it 😎
Combo science on point, as always! What was that music though??? Love, love, love it
Desk did you see how epic Evo was?!
Interesting stuff. Seems like Capcom was aware that custom characters could enable these kinds of shenanigans.
Maybe they’re planning something else on the SF6 engine…
What other infinite combinations are there besides perfect boom, if any?
@desk Does the infinite prevetion still kick in if you alternate strings? For example if you did Jamie cr.mk > boom > jamie tc > boom > cr.mk > boom > tc.......etc etc if there is such a sequence. Curious as to how the game differentiates between something like that vs a legit combo. I guess it'd still be the rep amount perhaps.
This is the first SF game proper to have the combo meter go past 99 hits. Prior games either had prevention systems or glitched out if you did so, both in some cases. I do not know what this means for the future of the Vs series.
You should test if there are ways around the infinite prevention system. Could you go to eight reps of the same infinite, and then transition to a different one? How does the system detect patterns? Could you alternate between two combos indefinitely, or would the system detect the two separate combos as one loop? You've only scratched the surface of this iceberg, there are many more questions that need answering!
Are there any ways to set up infinite meter in Extreme Battle?
999 hits? Your a true sf fan frfr
Well i can reach 9 hits. How about that
Damn, that's one more than 8! And two more than 7, and...
Hahahahahahaha
1:33 Are there any other situations where the "Forced Knockdown" notice appears besides this? It'd be interesting to see what sort of combos the game does or doesn't try to stop.
Forced Knockdown is also used when hitting someone out of certain airborne moves, like Ken's Dragonlash Kick or Cammy's Spiral Arrow.
Next: Causing a Combo Counter Integer Overflow to crash SF6
Have you optimized a combo for time consumption yet? Wouldn't there be a practical application as you become able to force a win by running the clock down?
I'm not sure when but they patched the Restriction in at some point because when I first found this it was actually a raw infinite remember getting 100 hits on one of the level 70 Fighters
You're going back and forth between 5 and 6 and its on modern. I would be impress if it was classic
🥇
D CAN YOU PLEASE DO CUSTOM CHARACTER COMBOS, THE POSSIBILITIES MUST BE ENDLESS💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
So just hit the se punch or kick several times in a row is counted as combo these days? Redicolus.
Juri lvl2 combos look so funny
1:51 What area is this in World Tour?
Looks like the top of the mountain before you go into the final arena
I'm assuming the 1000+ hit was done by hand, was it hard to do that for so long?
What's the song playing?
Tomboy (huge slide) mix from the sf3 new generations arranged album.

@@Tjxal ah damn, I knew i recognized it. I used to listen to that track a whole bunch a few years ago. thanks homie
I did a 99 hit jamie combo on someone in an extreme battle where you can luck into reduced drive meter costs, used alot of target combo, drive rush and level 2 to get my drive meter back during level 4 shitface. They fell out at hit 99 so I suppose that's what happens in a "normal" game?
Desk, when are you gonna make a combo video of Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game? 😅
So how long did it take get to 999 hits lol?
is that a flava flav cosplay?
Capcom preventing broken controllers and game discs lol 😂
Are you a fan of EVO? As a spectator?
Yes, but can your hands endure inputting a 999,999 hit combo or will they crumble to dust?! 🤣
Music?
SF3: New Generation Elena Arrangement, I think. That's without Shazam or Google. Used to listen to the Arranged Soundtrack while reading the alt.games.sf2 newsgroup. If you know, you know.
