  • Jesse accuses Walt of poisoning Brock (Ian Posada) out of spite.
Season 4 Episode 12 End Times: Ordering his family to take advantage of the protection the DEA is giving Hank (Dean Norris), Walt (Bryan Cranston) awaits whatever is in store for him. Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

What's brilliant to me about this scene is that Walt wins either way. If Jesse would have pulled the trigger, Walt would have died, Brock would have recovered, and Jesse would have spent the rest of his life haunted that he killed "an innocent man". Walt would have been remembered as an innocent victim to both Jesse and his family. For Jesse, he would constantly remember Walt as someone who died because of his "stupidity". For his family, Walt would have died an innocent victim of the crossfire between the cartel hunt and Hank, killed by Jesse Pinkman in revenge for what Hank did to him (if they ever found out it was Jesse). So, yeah, Walt wins either way. I honestly kind of think Walt was hoping Jesse would pull the trigger.

Not sure if im the only one, but i think BB had one of the best soundtrack for the series. When Walt lied about Gus doing it n the sound track started, it gets you pump. Its the exact same one they used for wheb Walt found out Skyler used his deug money to help Beneke. It reminds me of the movie The Collector, i jjst love movies or tv shows that have good spund tracks. That's one of a reason why I bought a soundbar, you can hear everything

Walts manipulation here is top tier lol Jesse figured it out instantly, but Walt knows how Jesse 2nd guesses himself constantly him twisting a version of Gus doing the bidding of poisoning Brock just to have Jesse kill Walt is really believable because that's Gus' end game taking Walt outta of the picture, really great writing, also leaving Mike out there recuperating from his injury was a good plot device because Mike probably would've been able to see through Walts BS of a story
