I remember my grandmother’s pantry, it was under the stairs and if I survived eating out of that all those years ago, eating tinned beans 2 years out of date (which we are doing at present) doesn’t bother me at all, my daughter ate beans on toast after a late night in work and joked about it saying they looked, smelt ok, and tasted fine, obviously we are more careful with things that live in the fridge, but 24 hours here or there just gets the sniff test, thankfully we’ve never been ill so will continue to use our common sense.
Quite right! Sadly common sense is not a flower that grows in every garden xx

Here in the US, we have bulk shops like Costco and BJ’s but even they aren’t cheap. I am one who is very wary of foods that are past their due dates, unfortunately this leads to a lot of waste in my house. You are so encouraging! I wish we had those types of stores here though, I would shop them often. Love all the kiddie (and Ed) snacks you stocked up on.
I used to be a stickler for dates but as I’ve gotten older I’ve mellowed (at least in that sense 🤣) xx

My son and I go to Rogers Wholesale foods in Stockport regularly. Its ideal form my son as he drinks quite a bit of pops and waters.

Twix excess…probably. But in defence,he was probably very excited about the deals. Always always good to have the husband on the same page while walking into a shop I find… I’d say almost as excessive as the bisto gravy lol. But at those prices,can’t blame you both,one jot. Epic dear. Love to go to one myself xx

We’re moving to Scotland next week. Until I found your channel I had never heard of magic bags or ways to get bags of goodness for very cheap prices. I’m going to join to get Aldi bags. I checked to see if we have a Roger’s. We don’t but in searching I found a company called “Fruitroots” who do veg/ fruit boxes weekly, monthly & fortnightly delivered. All market fresh that day. They also do fresh free range eggs, local honey, jams etc. The prices are really good. I’d never have found them if I hadn’t watched your videos. Thank you 🙏

Awwww thanks. It’s very kind of you to send such a lovely message. Can’t wait until we move. Scotland is so relaxed compared to down here in Northamptonshire. The people are not nice. Have noticed some caustic comments from people on your messages. People can’t help themselves. I find the people in Scotland are generally more caring and kind.
I love those Doritos, whey were doing them on a buy 1 get 1 free a while back in Lidl , £1.75 each, would get them again if on the same deal.
I will tell Ed he’s in good company. The smell makes me gag and I’m not usually precious about things like that. I have to leave the room if he’s eating them! Xx

Do you know how to store things for long term? You could store the gravy mix in jars & remove the air , or Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Either way will extend the life. We have one store like this about an hour away. I make sure my SUV is completely empty when we leave. I’m all about having food stocks!! They have added a meat freezer this month. So excited to see it.they also give $15 off if you spend 75 .Love this video!!!
Yes I’ve seen Vloggers in the US do that, I need to get some off Amazon! We aren’t as good at food storage over here. No one does canning really either. That’s a great deal! Xx

Just been to the local coop and brought some birds eye chicken shop on clearance in the freezer section. I brought 2 packs of the salt and pepper chicken - £1.25 each and 2 fillet burger - hot - £1.10 each. All good until jan 2025
Wrap some of the snacks for the kids and Ed for Christmas. Don’t tell them.
