And that's religiously changing your oil every 3,000 mi until following everything to the tea they will still blow up on you

That's not a unicorn. The 6.6 l V8 is the unicorn. For some observed reason Chevy stop making it unless you get a cutaway or a passenger van. In 2024. I absolutely refuse to even consider a V6 3/4 ton van..

I'm actually in the market for one of these right now and am going to eventually give it a light off road conversion with a slightly raised suspension, winch in the front and some all terrain tires. Sheer luck. We had placed an order roughly a year before and it was picked up by Chevy. When I did a search nationally for another commenter on this video I could not find another one with in 3000 miles.

We have not run into the paint issue. I will have to do a deep dive into this question to get you a more definitive answer.

The Chevrolet Express was launched since 1995 with a facelift in 2003
If you get one of these, get the V8 or the 6.6L Duramax Diesel. They have much more power for what these HD vans can offer.

This and the GMC Savana are the only remaining American full-size vans with a ladder frame chassis.
Ford Econoline is still in production as cab and chassis
