NO sh..t . Finally someone who knows what this bike really needs. Most people will not go 55 MP/H ,
but simply have fun on trails , drr. I believe this is one of the best tunes u can do to your 140.
Great vid , thank you.
I agree! This is perfect for those who want the most out this bike on the trails!
My 140 hits 64
@@tag3ddiehot damn, that's crazy man. I have to ask though brother what mods did you do in order get it up to that kind of speed? I have a '23 KLX140, I put a 12t sprocket in the front and a 49t on the rear. Also added a rekluse clutch, 63mm piston, bbr intake manifold, and a FMF Powercore 4 exhaust set up and the fastest I've been able to clock it is around 53-55 mph. Also I *only run 93 Octane non ethanol gas* in it since the day I rolled it off the dealer floor. If I can get my bike to that kind of speeds I wouldn't need to upgrade to anything else.
My 140 hit 64 if you want to know the real best mod it’s a carb upgrade the stock carb sucks and when I switched it to a 3 jet carb it made it way faster
@@LuziannManso what I have my bike at rn is a 51T rear sprocket with a 13 or a 14T front and instead of the stock 22mm car. I did a upgrade to a 28 and a 3 jet
Nice video! Concise, educational, and helpful for this noob female rider. I was just telling my husband how much my KLX 140 slugs in the trails. He recommended this, and you made it all make sense! Can't wait to make the adjustment. Thanks!
Only happy to help! You’re gonna enjoy it much more after this in the trails!
Great Content! I remember when I did to all of my bikes, it made the huge difference on Hillclimbs.
Massuve difference! Tons more low end pull in higher gears on the hillclimbs
Does the more torque one help with lifting the bike up ? My stock 2021 klx140 only goes up in 2nd if I could wheelie it in 3rd it would make such a big difference I’m just wondering if that will really help with it.
Oh absolutely, itll help keep the bike in max torque efficiency. You’ll loose some top speed tho
What kind of locktite did you use and what brand sprocket did you buy? I have a 2017 klx 140L and would like to make it accelerate faster. Thanks👍🏻
Only ever use blue locktight! Red is if you dont want to be able to ever take it off! (Without using heat) brand of sprocket doesn’t really matter, it should be linked in the description
Very helpful video, thank you
Happy to help!
Whats the exact tyre pressure on both for enduro?
@@TheZoxxy somewhat depends on your weight and what tubes you are running. My personal preference is 9 front 8 rear when its dry and riding aggressive.
7/8 psi front and 6-7 psi rear when its raining and wet out.
If you’re a heavier riding you might get pinch flats running yours that low
Do you recommend this to people who ride mostly track? Specifically a track that’s mostly meant for beginners/ farm bikes. (Park4mx - intermediate/ junior track)
There’s no harm in trying!
ahyes thats what i did yesterday to my klx140L. i slapped a new front and rear sprocket and chain.
Much better now?
Will that bike with the Big Bore Kit, handle a BIG GUy, 250 lbs??
Mmm id say thats pushing it.
Just out of curiosity, do you think you'll ever put a big bore kit on it?
10000% big bore, cam, exhaust, carb the whole lot
Just saving a few bucks for it all since itll cost a couple grand
@@AaronsEnduro awesome!!!
Im very excited to test it once i get the parts! Should get them sometime during summer /fall when riding seasons temporarily closed for being too hot and dry! Itll be the perfect time to have some down time to build the engine and such! As long as youtube lets me afford it from y’alls support of watching, im gonna try n build the most badass klx
@@AaronsEndurom
Goin 14 on mine would like to get smaller one for back
Man Great stuff. I just bought my son klx140L. Gonna do a recluse clutch. Thdd Ed n do this upgrade. Enjoy!!!
Got tons more of upgrades showcased on my channel! Thanks for watching!
Sorry, but I don't see link for the sprocket you used in the description...
Dunno how i missed that, here u go

@@AaronsEnduro Perfect, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Can you ring the throttle and wheelie
Can the bike wheelie, yes. Will it pick up like a 450 by hitting the gas, no
@@AaronsEnduro ok thank you!
"Like Whoa" I love it! The 4-5 mph loss will be worth the low grunt to get out of something sticky! Excellent video and mod AARON! Unrelated who did the bumpers for the 4RUNNER? Your a Rockstar bro! -🤘
Its wayyy nicee to have in the technical hard enduro trails! As for the bumps me and my old man made them! Both the front and rear!
@@AaronsEnduro looking great on that old yota bro! Green monster is gonna be next level!
Gonna be a solid unit when im done with it!
On todays ride it took an absolute beating and needs some new parts lol
@@AaronsEnduro you know your doing something if your breaking stuff lol! Reminds me of the Limp Bizkit song lol use to rip with that one lmao
Do you have a link for the exact front sprocket you used?
Ya it should be linked in the description
Can you do this to the 2024s??
Absolutely!
Awesome stuff! Just the mod I needed.
Super cheap diy mod!
How much was the bike
I bought mine at the peak of covid prices and paid 4900$ CAD
I did pc pipe and silencer, new dunlop 33 s. Made abig difference.
Sickkk
Hey what mods should i do to make it have more torque in 2nd im tryna wheelie this bike i have a 2020 klx140g
Gearing and big bore kit
@@AaronsEnduro so getting a racing carburetor and a racing spark plug and cpu box wouldnt give it enofe torque
When I click the link for the sprocket it says at klx150 also would that sprocket work for a 2022? Please lmk asap
Yes! Klx150 is the Philippines equivalent of the klx140 (they round the cc up)
I have been thinking about taking my Ff to a medium Mx track I know it’s not designed for it but it is enough for my skill level, what sprocket changes could you recommend for it.
I think stock gearing will be ideal with stock engine. It’s doable, but you’ll likely be bottoming out the suspension if you arent landing jumps cleanly
@@AaronsEnduro yeah the suspension might be a problem but that’s for another time with the gearing I won’t change anything unless I never get close to top speed on the track because then I could use my power better
You just dont want to gear it too tall where you dont have enough torque to get up to speed out of the corners before the jump takeoffs
If you can ride smooth you’ll be alright
In a soon to be released video ill be showing “bolt on” suspension modifications
Are u able to use anything other than a snap ring tool bc ion have one
Im sure you could jerry rig something yea
you would really be laughing loud on a full size MX bike!! LMAO
I have a 300 2 stroke now 😁
Those engine guards, i have a worry it will store more of the heat, and also when dirt comes inside it it could catch fire in worst case.
What do you think?
Thebike’s never heated, and they rarely hold any mud., never had dirt almost catch fire in there. You need oxygen for fire to burn
@@AaronsEnduro Ok, But the heated thing is really frying my brain right now, it holds back the heat from the inside getting out as good when its stock, that makes sense it seems like, it also ads wheight, its not much iknow, but that, and alu skid plate, full hand guards etc you know, if ur not adding any more power those may matter.
If you bikes casing it smashed on the side of the trail you’ll have no power at all lol. Protection mods are a must if you’re out in the trails. Its not a race out there anyways so id much rather the bike be rideable home than not. These bikes are also air cooled with the fins at the cylinder head. Where the engine casings are its using the oil to cool the engine down. To me it’s absolutely no worry at all for heat. This bike dissipates heat extremely well
Now i see those are plastic, then iam more positive to them. protection is good i agree, and i wanna get skid plate also, but those full sized hand guards thing iam personally not taking the risk, its fine if others do just saying.
These full sized hand guards have saved me way to many times thatd id never run any bike again without them
We’re did you get the gear from
Link in description
And where did you get it?
Links in description 👍🏼
What Handguards are those
Acerbis
So does this take a little bit off the top speed and give it more acceleration?
Correct! More torque, less top speed
Will help with hillclimbs and keeping it in the power
do you use a 57 rear sprocket, combined with a 12 in the front?
Stock G/RF rear sprocket
Sooo what happened on your last video when she died???
Youll find out in next weekends video!! Stay tuned!
@@AaronsEnduro the suspense!!!
😁😁😁
@@AaronsEnduro and now after today's tease! Nobody can say you don't live the send it life bro
@@AaronsEnduro oh boy I can't wait
I also have a question , how much for the kit , will you install it for me ? $
The big bore kit? Or the sprocket referenced in this video?
I need help. I have a 2013 Kawasaki 140L, I bought it 4 months ago, have rode it every day no problem. Bought it with bad piston rings. Yesterday, it died on me, crank no start. It has a new battery since it was left on all night in October. I do not know where to start looking, any tips? Will turn on when cold then stalls and doesn’t start when hot.
Did you get it fixed buddy?
@@StumpStunter95yes, the spark plug was the issue. Then I rebuilt the carb. And got a big bore kit which came with new piston rings
@@nathanbfishin497spark plug seems like a bad issue with the older I have a 2015 R and spark plug suck on it
Would these work on any other bikes like klx140r f
This is a klx140rf! It will work an all klx 140’s
@@AaronsEndurook thanks
Cool video ! Can you tell me your height and weight. I want to get a bike but I don't know what size bike to get
Any one from 6’ to 5’ tall will fit, and anyone under 160lb will enjoy the bike for it’s size with stock suspension
Please send part number for 12 tooth
Its in the video description
Any heavy duty clutches available? That you know of .. l Use it as a trials bike on steep terrain .
How much did it cost?
I think like 15$ its linked in the description
Does this help with wheelies
It can help forsure!
You can’t get a rear sprocket for the 140 g
It looks like JT sprockets just released a new set of rear sprockets for the 140!
Cant find 57 tooth anywhere, wanna buy it as backup.
Standard is 52 tooth?
@@AaronsEnduro Nope, just checked again, it says 57.
Looks like you’re correct. Looks like something you’ll have to order direct from Kawasaki!
Ive got 150 hours on my stock rear sprocket, 70 of that with the big bore kit and other goodies. Id say youll be fine for at least that many hours with it before wanting to replace it
@@AaronsEnduro 👍
you made an 11 minute video on changing the front sprocket lmao
And it made me hundreds of dollars 🤫😅
