THANK YOU! A few days ago, the hazard lights on our 2010 Prius came on by themselves while parked in the driveway, and would not turn off. Reading many of the web-based discussions led me to this video. After determining that the car's 12 v battery was fine, and that the hazard light flashing speed did not vary with the speed of the car, I figured that the errant voltage drop from the skid ECU seemed like it could be the culprit. So, watching other videos to figure out how to get the upper and lower engine cowls off, I was able to see the light blue wire discussed in this video. A quick snip - - AND THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED! Not sure what a dealer would have charged for a diagnosis and fix - - likely replacement of skid/ABS ECUs for more dollars than this 14 year-old car is worth. So, a zero dollar fix was fabulous. Thanks for helping me get this fixed.
Actually Thanks to you. you find my video and watch it. ( i am talking about my messy English 🤪) if i helped someone good for me . againg thanks a lot.
I read this comment and couldn't have said it better myself, and probably not as well. I followed the same research pattern described above, cut the wire and all is well. Thank you so much for this video.
Hi there. After taking the cowls off on your 2010 Prius was everything else in the same place a in this video? Contemplating doing the same thing to my old Prius. not worth bringing it into the shop, Thx in advance.
Yes! I am by no means a mechanic, but I followed UA-cam videos on how to remove the engine cowls and the wiper assembly. Then I watched this “which wire to cut” video several times before attacking the wire. Problem solved! Good luck! @@papazelko
@@MrDjcity how about the dashboard, any light on after cutting the wire, I am thinking doing that to my Prius because when the car moves it starts blinking the hazard lights quickly when I stop the car goes away.
everything will work fine without any issue. that wire is just singal to ecu reads car is not skiding and everything is okay. so when the voltage drop ecu think we r skiding and turning on hazard lamps

No light was lost, everything work perfect after the wire was cut.
i am soryy i didnt see comments
there is no problem cutting that wires u can even test and also i did fix on video i didnt hide anything ;))
Will snipping this wire throw a code or do anything that would cause the Prius to not pass inspection?
i snipped it and passed inspection the next day, but i guess ymmv?
My ABS is also not working & throwing error codes. Could this mean I have to replace the actuator?
What is the code and year of the car??
If I cut that wire is the hazard lights will work? Not at all???
your signal will be work without any problem

Hocam bende de benzer problem var. Araba hızlandıkça sinyal hızı da artıyor. Sizce aynı yöntem çözüm olur mu? Araba prius 2010.
