Plateup is if overcooked and cooking mama meshed together and made a roguelike, you create a restaurant as a group and have to survive to your 15th day. If a single customer is un happy, the whole restaurant closes down.

I've done Fish, Burgers, and Pizza at the same time. The run also included cheese boards, fries, broccoli, carrot soup, onion rings and mashed potatoes. It was extremely fun but very strange because you'd only have a single customer on day 1 and gain 1 a day. Absolutely would do it again.
I understand the appeal of and enjoy taking a single dish, rarely adding sides, never adding toppings, and automating your way to OT 15 but there is something beautiful about making a restaurant with a real feeling menu and trying to find room to have quick access to 5 different sides while being forced to wait for an order to actually start cooking instead of just mashing out 50 of the same thing with muscle memory.
I love how a patty can be seconds from burning but if you toss some onions on top it's immediately fine.
At some point I hope the customers (chat) order all the dish simultaneously, just so we can say they ordered 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'.
Did not realize how long I've been waiting for a video like this to come out. This is like the end game of plate up, until they drop the DLCs and expansions
I always picked up the franchise cards and i played a few of them out. I was really interested because i NEVER saw anyone franchise?? I always thought "its a part of the game why does nobody do this" but to each their own 🤷♂️
It’s largely because you can only use a franchise once. If they were permanent/ reusable, you would see people doing crazy runs a lot more.
@@alexschmitz3414 You can reuse them, just if you fail the franchise is lost, but if you make it to day 15 you can refranchise.
Yeah its basically like just playing new game +, you can franchise at the end like shown in this challenge, but nobody i watched EVER kept the cards. Was really weird.
@@oCloudy which is funny since the game was bugged and you never got any exp from scrapping the cards lol
@@oCloudy highly recommend you check out Stumpt! They were how I was introduced to the game (they were playing some of the earliest versions), and they p much always keep their franchises. They've played a few franchises but I dont think they've ever managed to re-franchise yet
I'm actually really happy to see this. Cause I have a teir 5 franchise with over 13 menu items, aptly named "Hard Crust Life". As is started out as a pie franchise. But I rolled into the added recipe 3 times. So I have pies, pizza, salads, and fish. And it has been an absolute blast playing this run. Fun fact, the -15% customer count you get from selecting recipes does infact cap out. I physically can not reduce my customers any further. Haven't been able to for the last 4 menu items xD but I won't stop I wantvthe most complex restaurant that I can make.
I swear this man is a MACHINE! How is he going to handle all this at once?! Amazing challenge and content!

you can pre-plate a bun then slap it onto cooked patty to reduce the amount of movement/inputs you're making making burgers, btw

Hey Skoottie, I've been attempting this too! I'm up to 7 core recipes (Just pie and hotdogs left) but CON4 hasn't offered me the "Variety" card in my last two runs - Is it definitely possible to get all 9 recipes? Interested to see if the same thing happens to you!

Lol, Tango is where I first saw this game as well. Watching this guy vs Tango and Brody is like night and day in terms of skill. Both are a great watch, though for widely different reasons.

You can plate buns while burgers are cooking instead of making 2 trips with 1 burger and bun
You can also clean a plate in the sink while holding a burger

is there a way to import a you already have into soft soft?
Wait do you get an even larger layout for franchises because I feel like if you're gonna server every dish in the game you're gonna run low on space in the kitchen real fast. But if not I feel like that would be where they could improve the game and make it more worth it to franchise. Like if you franchise you get a layout that is twice the size of the current largest layout and than if you double franchise you unlock the ability to customize and change the layout design to match what kind of franchise you are looking to run. Have plans of server just 1 meal plan than open up more space for more customers or open up the kitchen for more automization efficiency or whatever else you might want or like.
the higher the level, you get a chance for larger restaurants, or you can use specific seeds for larger restaurants
fair warning, if you lose with a franchise at any point, its lost forever
alt+f4 will be my best friend, I mean, yeah that adds to the difficulty :)
Around day 12 when you were saying you were glad nobody was getting onion rings I was thinking surely you should want them to get onion rings.. because sides double your income!
I’m confused why not to prep out a bunch of burgers before even checking order one. couldn’t you call in half the day since there is enough counter space for 7 burgers while still having a hob open for onion rings and cutting tomatoes

They should increase the number of customers for burgers with more time in compensation.
did i miss where you realized you just bought a sink that wasnt upgraded?
He replaced his starter sink with a regular sink so in a way it was an "upgraded sink."

what do you need the flour for
Onion Rings. The side requires you to chop an onion, add *flour*, and then cook.
where does the "giraffe" sound come from? I hear some lady saying it now and then, and it confuses me a lot 😂
most or all of his videos are edited uploads of his twitch streams, the girl saying giraffe is an audio clip from the game super auto pets and it's one of the sub/donation sound effects on his twitch channel

There is a free demo version! I think its a very old pre-release and only goes until 1 star or so, but still! You can try it out! (Not sponsored)
How does he get names above customers? and all the blueprints outside?
Names is I believe something to do with the Twitch integration.
Blueprints outside is actually in the menu. Options -> Game -> Drop Blueprints Inside -> Off
Grabbers that pull things into a mixer, to they have to be a smart grabber? I see needing a smart grabber to pull the right item out of a mixer. Just seems like an easy way to save money by not upgrading grabbers and just using the base grabber
Grabbers and smart grabbers cost the same. There are some cases where a regular grabber is needed over a smart grabber though (fish). Conveyors are cheaper, but also the least useful.
