So able to relate completely. I wish I had the capacity to do this when our family was going through the very same thing. I am so proud of you. And thankyou

You did the right thing for your family and your son. I had to call police on an ex who was addicted & relapsing - and he is ok today. If I had not called he might not be here.

I saw you in Cincy and I told you about our same story about the luggage analogy. You quickly said to me, "We should write a book about suitcases." While I don't take that to heart, you did inspire me to sit down and write my life and story out. I'm not famous enough for anyone to read it but if one person reads it and thinks, "Yes! This is where I am or where I was." and they feel related to, then it was worth the time to write. Who knows, maybe I'll send it to you to read.

I wish I could hug you. I’ve been through horrible mental health issues with my daughter. It’s so tough.
I actually yelled at my MIL because she was judging me for letting her take anti depressants. I’ll never feel bad. I am very non confrontational so that’s one of my proudest moments.

I have a neighbor treating me terribly, because I am struggling as a single mom… being handed incredible amounts of stress with no help. He has been my neighbor for 14 years now, has never been friendly… now he’s flat out rude to my daughter & I. He thinks that he has the right to judge us.
    👉🏻 No thank you!
    …….
Hang in there moms, you’ve got this!
    And…
Jesus will be by your side helping you get through it all. Stay in prayer. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
    Much love!
    ❤️

The longer I live, the more I understand the value of this approach. I cannot possibly pick up the burden of possible public judgement on top of the overwhelming events already taking place. I simply cannot live my life that way. Heated on and Divorced, Single mom, being forced out of a high profile public job, my child becoming addicted to illegal drugs and suicidal after a severe football related concussion, my alcoholic father committing suicide, struggling with my own trauma, depression and anxiety. No, my goal is to come out the other side of those life events with gratitude, wisdom and a greater sense of empathy towards others having similar struggles.

Thank you so much for this very important perspective…it’s so true that as long as you are not harming anyone or anything or being unkind…you just have to leave that “baggage” of “what would other people think of me.” You really don’t owe any explanation to anyone and everyone just because someone wants to know and there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes even if you think you know someone. This is also reason why everyone should be kind to everyone and never judge so you don’t give people that baggage of “what will (insert your name) think of me”

Well if your neighbors are really concerned about you and your family and want to help. Then ask them to do a chore for you like mow your lawn or water your plants.

One day, you and your son will laugh at it all. No one can blame, because you're the mother. No one is gonna love your son More than you. No one is suffering but you. So, it doesn't matter what they are saying. Greetings to you, from Morocco ❤.
