This is the OST to Godzilla: Monster of Monsters for the NES! But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D

Godzilla: monster of monsters has the most underrated soundtrack in the whole nes library.
Facts. I know a lot of people like to throw the word underrated around. But this is a case of it being really true. The soundtrack to this game is legitimately fantastic.
@@yaburu Masatomo did many scores for games on SMS, NES and MSX. I think this one is his best
STILL THE BEST!
1989
@Demo Gaming ye
The strange , melodic and dark style of these themes are what makes NES sound so eternally great and unforgettable.
This game has a lot of potential. I wish some fans would make a proper sequel of this and bring the setting to earth. Walking through Tokyo at night would be an awesome stage idea
The game was pretty good but the music and pixel art were really amazing imo.
This is an example of game with better music than game play...the game is decent but the music is exceptional.
The game play was pure glitchy garbage - one of the worst I ever rented, and I rented Bubsy 3D, and it was a masterpiece in comparison. But the music? Yeah it's good.
@@meerkat1954 "Pure glitchy garbage"? Absolutely not. "One of the worst I ever rented"? Then you must've not rented many games. And if Bubsy 3D is a masterpiece compared to this, then I'm Hideaki Anno.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 Agreed
@@meerkat1954
never played it and probably never will but the music’s great
I feel like there’s no point playing it except the niche thought of… hey I’m playing a classic nes game
@woodynut6277 There is always a point to playing an NES game, to understand the experience of playing the game. To live as Godzilla fighting to defend the Solar System from alien invaders for a bunch of ungrateful humans. To become the Monster of Monsters, to feel Godzilla's loneliness and pain. A person only gets one life, a gamer lives through thousands.
I remember my grandfather took me to Toys R us to pick this game out for me when I was a kid for christmas. I wanted it because I played rampage world tour at a friends house and thought it was godzilla lolz
UNDERRATED AF OST
Agreed! This soundtrack deserves much more love!
EXACTLY!
♥️😎❤️
"I heard about this game from the creepypasta!"
"I heard about this game from the AVGN! He said it was shit!"
Ya wanna know how I heard of this game? Childhood. Popped this thing in my ol' NES and had a grand ol' time. Couldn't beat Planet X for the life of me, but it was still a great game!
+Drew Seelig It's the best godzilla game I've played so far.. :D
Try Godzilla on the PS3/4, I know a lot of people shit on it, but it's really great if you're more G-Fan than gamer.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll try it out. People seem to shit on all the godzilla games, even the best ones.
The key to beating ghidora is electing not to fight then go back 1 space then forward to the space touching ghidora to replenish health and electing not to fight. Repeat until Ghidora is dead.
@@nicholasperkins4655 the key to beating Ghidorah for me was Game Genie, lol. Well done my friend!
Wiiguy309, still the best 2013.
I will always be the best. And more so than the stupid creepypasta, I'll eat that shit down and crap it out! XD
Nah.That creepypasta is very good.It made this game a lot more popular.
I remember buying this in 1989, and stayed up all night playing this game... good times... simpler times...♥️ Love this ost. Jupiter and King Ghidorah theme my favorite.
Man, listening to this after reading the creepypasta is just unnerving
Alex Howard link?
Yeah I can't look at it the same way now. :(
password song at 0.5 speed
The Godzilla creepypasta is one of THE most stupid pieces of horseshit I have ever browsed through. What a retarded, asinine bunch of writing.
@@xahalo8355 ... is nothing.
I love this game, I had it for years before the creepypasta. And now all these people know about the game suddenly just from the story. It's sad in all honesty.
well people still learned about a fun game 😉
Antonis Akamiotakis That is very true. All we need next is a new game styled like this, but with shin Godzilla.
+GreatWhiteNF could you imagine 😂😂😂 JokasDroid is making a game based on the creepypasta. It looks really good. I have just finished the original game (with Mothra 😨) and I'm looking forward to the fan game
I had beat this before the creepypasta. I was actually better with Mothra than Godzilla, easier for me to avoid getting hit.
I did enjoy the creepypasta though. At least reading it, screw watching it and getting jumpscare'd.
Bzaafied There are TWO. Only two. Even as a man who hates Jumpscares, this is fine. They are in parts 5 and 6.

STILL THE BEST
2012
I really love Gigan's theme, as well as Ghidorah's theme, and the Mars theme is Awesome
Masatomo Miyamoto and his legendary tunes. This and The Guardian Legend are two of my faves
Best Godzilla game and soundtrack! Never forget the hours passed in my childhood with him. Look for a sucessor in late platform but nothing so far
my favorite part on the "Earth track" is at 4:39 when the tune breaks down all slow, emotional n sad n shit lol
The Earth music as well as the Intro/Mars music are pretty nostalgic for me.
8:47, favorite music in the game.
"Will You Fight The Enemy? Will You Fight Ghidorah?"
I'd love to see this get a remake/upgrade.
BTW, does the Password theme come from a Toho source, or is it original to the game?
Old as this comment is, I'd also love a remake. Jack I've tried coming up with my own a few times.
Pretty sure the only themes from Toho were the intro/Planet X theme (a remix of Godzilla’s March), the Japanese intro theme (Godzilla’s march), and Japanese story theme (military theme from Monster Zero). Everything else was original. There’s a few toho films I haven’t seen like matango or the three treasures so slight chance I’m wrong but since I was 3 (before this game came out) I’ve been collecting all the old Toho films.
Underrated game, outside of the creepypasta this game is actually pretty good. First NES game I ever beat
If only the game had been better this soundtrack would be talked about as one of the best on the system. It retains a feel from the movies while bring intensity, atmosphere and a lot of variety for the system. The end credit music is still some of my favorite on the NES and might be one of he finest tracks on the system honestly.
1989?! F**K YEAH! The year I entered Kinder. That was such an awesome year in video games!
Better year than today I bet. Right?
1988
14:08 gezora music became distorted in a way that made it more scarier than before, love it.
I really enjoyed this game even with the only slightly-above-average gameplay, and I think even all these years later it's the only game I've ever played more for the soundtrack than the game itself.
I've been a big fan of Godzilla since I was little kid and when I got this game for X-mas in 1989, I quickly beat the game in 2 days. I still remember that day because my Dad saw the ending for it and he told me "You already beaten it and in 2 days. The game wasn't that hard" and I told him nope it wasn't. Battling all Godzilla's enemies was fun, I hated fighting Mecha Godzilla & King Ghidora, those 2 were tough as nails. The Ending Theme is my favorite theme because once you beat the game you get rewarded with a sad but nice theme. Also the password theme sounds like it comes from a Castlevania game.
I'm 13, and I've beaten this game like 4 times on my emulator. Each time took me like a week or a month. I installed this game on my phone at the ending of 2015 I think. During school, of course there was a bunch of CoD, Minecraft, or GTA5 kids judging me for playing this game. 😒
Mega Reaper
Many of today's kids don't like old school video games but it's awesome that there are a few who like old video games like yourself and this game is brings out a great challenge. Continue playing old school video games, games back then are way more harder today's video games that's for sure
xboyindahouse I totally agree with you. Most kids today will never understand the joy of classic gaming.
Arcade Ninja
actually it's Mega Reaper whose 13. I was 13 back in 1993. I love playing old school video games from the 8bit & 16bit era. I play today's video games as well but I got major love for the old school video games.
@@archangelsed i made scratch game about the nes godzilla not the creepypasta
When i was 10 years old i burrowed some NES games from one of my brother´s friends, this game was among them, but since the cartridge was ugly as hell i ignored it for a while. One day i got sick, and with nothing else to do i said to myself "meh, why not". I played it for like 7 hours straight, i still remember being nervous before facing King Ghidora, and the grim satisfaction after seeing the ending for the first time. Great game and great memories of that day. Play it, you won´t be disappointed.
This takes me back! The all nighters as a teen trying to beat this game. I absolutely love it! thanks for sharing
I tried this game once at a friend's house . And I loved it can't wait to get my own copy of the game .
The track you have as "Godzilla" is also the Title Screen for the Japanese version. And "Unknown Theme 2 (Military March)" is also the Intro for the Japanese version.
+Thanos6 Ahhhhh!
22:56 can it spin in all directions
This game is really awesome! its fun to play in many different ways If you know what you are doing and how to play it.
AVGN admitted he didn't know how to play it very well, and thus had a horrible time and he was struggling with it.
There was no game like this when it came out in 89' so it was not like playing the typical platform or beat em up game
of the time, which also involved deployment/strategy. So for many people it was too hard or different and they got discouraged.
At first I hated it because I did not know what I was doing either. But after I played it for a bit and got used to it,
I loved it and played through it many times. This is what actually got me interested in Godzilla and was a big contributing factor to my interest in modern Japanese culture. I also love astronomy too so the fact that you go to different planets for each stage was also a big plus for me.
Thanks for uploading this! I'm organizing my music collection and this was helpful in filling some of the info out.
Metroid, The Guardian Legend, Megaman 2, and this game are the finest Nintendo has ever produced in terms of game soundtracks IMHO.
Neil Arellano my man. You could not have said it better. I'm actually doing a gamer podcast on best soundtracks and this is what I had in my own mind
Man, this brings me back. I remember distinctly how in elementary school someone remarked they'd seen a Godzilla NES game at the store and I was so excited I HAD to get it. The very afternoon I got picked up my mom and I went to buy it. I never regretted it, cause even though it could hard at times, it's still a really great game for when it was made.
It's so disappointing all we get are samey-feeling fighters.
I was Playing the Original game on an Emulator and when the Logo went Red I went Ape-Sh!t Thinking it was the creepypasta...
I love how the title theme sounds like a remix of the Godzilla theme and Prayer for Peace (that, or Godzilla Under the Sea) , sorta reminds me of how Godzilla VS Biollante did it
This was one LONG ass but fun game to beat. i liked this game a lot back in the day. haha some of the tunes were cool but emotional in some weird way
agreed. i remember playing it as a little kid
I played the hell out of this game as a kid, thanks for upload!
I found the game because of the Creepypasta, and made me play this game. I have already beaten it like 3 times because i enjoyed a lot this game, even though it is kinda boring that the levels sometimes repeat.
Just watched Godzilla: King of the Monsters today in theaters, and I can say without giving spoilers, that the movie does a good job paying homage to the original themes used from older movies and in my mind, some of the stuff heard in this game. Obviously the movie has no 8-bit sounds, but it would have been even more amazing if it did.
I have such nostalgic memories of this game and the circumstances with which I got it. My mom, aunt, and myself are all huge Godzilla fans and when I was in elementary school one day someone casually mentioned they'd heard of a Godzilla game for the NES. It was ALL I could think about the rest of the school day and when my mother picked me up we scoured various stores to find a copy, which I /think/ was ultimately as the local Toys'R'Us.
The same one that's about to close soon, sadly. I bought a lot of NES, GameBoy and Atari games there as a kid.
I know this game has a weird reputation, and I'll be honest it definitely has flaws, but it felt so good to be controlling Godzilla (and to a lesser extent Mothra) and just laying waste to all the enemies before me. I absolutely love the soundtrack to this game, and seeing the monsters on my television was so cool. It also introduced me to Gezora, Mogeura, and Varan, as well as other Toho creations like Matango and Atragon.
I love the Military March! It's not only my favorite song in this game but it's also one of my favorites in the actual Godzilla series!
Not sure how but over 30 years later this remains the best Godzilla videogame soundtrack IMO. I’ve played the game boy games, Godzilla 2 (NES), Godzilla’s greatest battles (SNES and Turbo Duo), Super Godzilla (SNES), Godzilla Generations (Dreamcast), DaMM (Xbox), STE (PS2), Unleashed (wii), and Godzilla PS4 but this is still my favorite.
I used to have this game but it was stolen a long time ago. Awesome game, wish it would be redone like what Capcom is kind of doing. Btw great channel, I listen to it all the time! Thanks.
Glad to hear from another fan! ;3
Yoooo I've been looking for this song forever
Run
Welcome! Glad you also included the Japanese track in the mix as well!
Awesome work.
Best track starts at 4:16
Unknown jingles might be the level up themes, since both are mini themes for both Godzilla and Mothra
The music is so good I love it
This game had the worst case of 'flickering' I can remember in an NES game but still, it was a bit of fun
Have you fought the 9th boss in Mega Man II? THAT was awful.
5:54 almost makes me cry when I realize I was born to late to enjoy the golden years of 1985. I need a hug rn. ;(
This game is vastly underrated, sure it´s different.....but entertaining nonetheless.
I'm glad you chose to arrange for obscure title, as it wasn't that great playing, but it has an excellent soundtrack.
I am getting this game anyway- I love the strategy system in this game and the music.
STILL THE BEST BRO
Fantastic ost.
Tell me I’m not losing my marbles and Godzilla blinks in this video
Omg I remember this when I was 28 back 2009
godzilla kicks monster ass.plus, all the other monsters are so stylized so well.i love the godzilla series from 1954 all the way to 2014...a full legacy of one heroic monster.''sigh''
I remember my dad surprised me with this game with Godzilla bubble gum thank you dad love you
12:33 Put the speed at 1.25 and it will REALLY sound like the original theme!
A wild G1D0RAH appeared! Go get em' Godzilla!
Unknown Theme 2 is a kick ass rendition of Akira Ikufubes' Military March...
Nice..
+MrAdamnationZ They should've used it in the game! Wtf?
I swear every time I hear gigan's theme i think of the original pokemon red and blue music. Is it just me?
Got this game as a kid, couldn’t beat it without game genie. The gameplay was pretty dull and repetitive and only got interesting when fighting the newer bosses on each planet.
But the fantastic ost always really stood out to me.
Varan's Theme is Easily the Best Theme in the Game
Wait...Compile made that game? I love that company.
Game Grumps are playing this right now- what a coincidence.
Earth, and Jupiter were always my favorite.
Pluto theme is epic.
pluto is my favorite one so far
This game is still the best
I use to stare at the UFOs on the cover and examine their relation to Godzilla
When people complain how people are complaining over people talking about how that found out about this amazing soundtrack
Awesomeness :)
Totally :)
***** yup :)
Unused 3 is my jam XD
This game is okay but the music is easily the best part. It's so underrated.
Earthlings represent!
Whats the debug stage all about? Never even heard of it.....
***** Thank You Sir! Thats pretty awesome.
I'm interested in finding out more about the stage, I actually once found enemies and Godzilla(No Mothra) on the stage, however, I couldn't move Godzilla.
I can understand that completely, but if we're honest that creepypasta is what most people know this game for, sure, it's annoying to see constant references to it but it's a very well made story. But at the end of the day not everything is going to go the way we want it to, so all anyone can really do is just cope with it.
Kaiju Daisensho. Great Monster war march, Monster Zero March. It's the best song ever... It should have been the ending song.
*Reads the crepypasta*
Was that supossed to be scary?
I mean, *Godzilla went fucking Super Saiyan in the climax battle*, that's not scary, that was damn awesome! :D
Can get repetitive at times, but the music and the pixel art are nothing to scoff at.
i literally typed gh1d0rah in google when the music from gh1d0rah was paused then as i searched the code the music played and i got scared
Godzilla your the best!
Priscilla McGee/ rank Number 2 Warrior/ still the best
This game is so goofy and repetitive. I have always loved it.
Intro/mars track kinda sounds like the stage select music from mega man 3
3:41
did Rare get the headquarters stage theme from this?
Willguy may I use this soundtrack in my videos
here is my thought on the game, instead of only the normal 8-bit theme make a choise betwen pixelated gameplay or 8-bit and make another choice to play different difficulties (easy to hard) and after beating hard mode there should be nightmare mode where you actually play NES Godzilla in the normal game
Average game, but damn is this music good. Can’t say the same for the sequel though
As a Kaiju fan I consider this as pretty decent Kaiju game. At least it's better than Godzilla 2 :DDD It has good graphics and very fitting music. It could have been worse.
I got interested about this game again when I found a creepypasta based on it. Everyone who likes creepypastas shoud definitely check it out! Just Google nesgodzillacreepypasta. It's actually a well made story
This sounds like guardian legend? Same composer?
Yup!
There really is something creepy about his style, I don't know why.
why is that last song unused???
Dude, Unknown theme 2 is the fucking Military March, how could you not recognize?
Is it just me or does 2:02 kinda sound like the mega man 3 robot master selection screen?
MELISSA
anybody know masamoto miyamoto profiel so far?
