You need to see it without anybody spoiling
Season 1 is a lot of set-up. Its job is to acquaint viewers with the pieces on the chess board. Season 2 is where that foundation pays off, and the pieces are moving. I would recommend watching season 1 relatively close before season 2 premieres. It is slow and weird pacing. But if you can go along for the ride, the canon lore of season 2 should be well worth it. I enjoyed season 1 knowing what it was trying to do. That doesn't meant it doesnt have its problems, but it works well to establish the characters before shit starts really fucking them up. Just my two cents on the matter 🤷🏻 hope you can enjoy the adventure! And if you just don't like it, then that's alright.
The rings of power is a total shit show! Not faithful to Tolkien at all. If you never read the books you are better off
