okay so im pretty new to watching AoE2 competitive but my guesses for this match are: Yodit is daut and Khan is daut which is strange because this is the 10th daut vs daut match ive watched.
About 40% of twitch chat agrees with you. The other 40% are of the firm belief that Viper is on both sides in every game. The last 20% are people who think every individual person is literally every contestant, so I'd say you're in the top 40%.

Ah so this was the birth of Princess Daut Also as far as casters go, I really can't imagine a better pair than T90 and Dave. Y'all gel well together, give each other some sh*t and sending it back, the jokes, the ability to appreciate the small things about this game and the pros, and the consistent energy through these grueling and long casts.

A month a ago I saw the Viper play again Hoang. The way he swapped villages in and out of houses look exactly the same when Kotyan Khan swapped mangudai in and out of castle in the previous round.
Kotyan was obviously Hera from the very beginning. Saladin was the only option for Viper since Sancho played very differently. Anyone that thought Sancho was Viper clearly doesn't watch him play much
If you think about it, Daut being so close to win against the second of the tournament is not only surprising, but also great, because it tells us how important is strategy. However, this also means that here, the Lord really gave 100% of himself and, at his age, it is hard to get better at micro.
I know many people think Kotyan is Hera, but the player has reflexes that could only come from many years of experience. That’s why I think it has to be Viper

Yodit is a legend. Vikings using Beseerkers and skirms is perfect! Thank you so much for not going ARB spam with Vikings!! Yodit deserves to win and Vikings should lose ARB !! And in turn ,huge respect to Kotyan for making Longboat + berserk as Vikings and NOT doing ARB spam. Vikings should lose ARB and longboat should be able to transport foot units.
U know there´s a land maps too. Vikings would die hard to franks, liths etc without arbalests. Chieftains pgrade is too expensive and lack of halbs and hussar - their late game sucks soo hard...
Next Hidden Cup can you PLEASE not put the player names in the thumbnail? UA-cam shoved the grand final as a view suggestion right in my face and now I know who makes it there :(
I'm glad to say this wasn't an issue for me. Hopefully they fixed something. My suggested video is always the next in the series and I'm intentionally keeping my eyes away from the whole right side of suggesteds.
@@briangervais5962 T90 changed the thumbnails anyways, so it's no longer an issue. I just hope he remembers next time, it really took away the excitement knowing who would win each set. I think it's hard to switch from making the usual click-inspiring thumbnails to boring non-spoilery ones just for the tournament. Especially while running the most hype event of the year!

Daut made a video showing how near he actually came, explained his strategy and he even knew that he was against Hera. It was soooo close. Hera only came through thanx to some luck and Daut messing up a bit.
Crazy game 5, great macro from daut, switch to trash bow, hand can, then upgrade paladin. Sadly he lost in some micro in the battles. And he made a small mistake to create trash bow vs halb and plumes...skirm would have tanked all the plume fires...then at post imp trash fight, persian would have sure won
Yodit lost the last game because he wasn't making nearly enough xbows. Floating 3k wood with only 3 ranges, but 20 xbows queued between them all. That could've kept his pop up and let him kill those halbs to get to the plumes.
I was really invested into this match after going 2-2, nearly doubting that Hera would win against Villese, but with superior tactics the Canadian prevailed.
Last game: Wouldn't it be better to go Paladin + Skirm vs. Helb + Plums?! Skirms would have bonus damage vs. both and the trashbows aren't really better vs. Eagles than Skirms.
Oh. I didn't go to the twitch stream since I didn't want to spoil the other games by knowing who made it. Had he uploaded the quarter finals I'd have probably been there.
Hmm not sure exactly what you mean but at a guess you might have bloom enabled which makes everything look glossy/foggy. You can turn it off in game on the graphic settings, if that is what you're referring to.
DAVE AMA?! Tell us about how T90 interrupts too much and is kind of a jerk sometimes but gets more followers and viewers than everyone else and how it feels like to work with him under such circumstances xD.

Would it be possible to not have the chat on screen? I find it incredibly frustrating because I'm constantly having to struggle not to look that way. We're biologically hardwired to be interested in movement. There's nothing of any use being said in chat anyway and even if there was, it'd get buried. If you want chat, it has to be filtered through someone who brings up actually interesting comments for the commentators to address. If someone wants to see the chat, they can watch live or it's even stored in the Twitch vod. That's why this makes no sense. I've never watched this esport before and I'd like to get into it a bit, but man...

Kotyan Khan is Viper for sure! The way he builds farms and mills in the late game, the market traps, the micro nerd and macro strategy...
