I am so enjoying going back and listening to your interviews, Harvey, and this one with Patrick Cassidy is no exception. What a talented and accomplished man- and very down to earth! The story about Ryan O'Neal was great- interesting insight into what he was like.
Thanks, Harvey, for keeping us entertained and informed about all of these terrific artists!

Some people feel my introductions are too long. But they serve a very important purpose. True fans of our show totally understand my strategy. Thank you for “getting” what I do.

An enjoyable interview, Harvey. As a Las Vegas local, did not know Patrick was a NY actor. So glad, he and the family are doing so well! His family brought us so much joy!❤

Wonderful interview with a terrific actor and artist. And so terrific for Patrick's memories of the great Jack Cassidy and working with his amazing mom Shirley Jones. And thanks, Harvey, for highlighting Longtime Companion.

I remember Jack and remember when the tragedy happened. Sad 😢 LOVE THIS!! Thank you for interviewing Patrick . Very unhappy that we lost David Cassidy. I was a big Sean Cassidy fan, I mean, I didn’t have Sean Cassidy posters on my wall, but I love that song, the Da doo Ron Ron Da doo Ron Ron. I actually had Bobby Sherman on my wall, and Leif Garrett just so you know ha ha ha, but yeah, thank you so much for this interview, Harvey

Working on it. Believe me, getting celebs to agree to an interview is much harder than people think - even for someone with my track record.

What an absolutely marvelous interview on both your parts. I really only knew Patrick from "Love at Stake", one of my favorite movies, and from his appearances on "Murder She Wrote." Eventually, I started listening to his fine show "Studio Tenn Talks" and was able to comment in the chat room and correspond with him on Facebook. I did get to meet him and Melissa in 2022 at a Sondheim cabaret show, and he was so incredibly kind and gracious. Thank you, Patrick Cassidy, for the inspiration you've provided the world with your work, talent, and dedication. You have truly made a difference in this world, and yes, I'd love to see you as Billy Flynn on the opening night of "Chicago on Broadway.

TY Patrick for not only a great interview but because I mentioned the "trivia" of your invitro kick during the movie the MM to our music director, I got a mini singing role in a local NJ production of MM. I was the Farmer's wife/ensemble. TY again for giving us all a KICK!

Another fantastic interview with an actor who has done some great work, Harvey. I first saw Patrick Cassidy in ‘Something in Common’ where he was blessed with playing the great Ellen Burstyn’s son and the beautiful Tuesday Weld’s young boyfriend. I was already jealous of him getting to play Tuesday’s younger boyfriend and was really jealous when he got to play the still beautiful Jacqueline Bisset’s younger lover in ‘Napoleon and Josephine’ a year later. Then I had a chance to watch one of his early films, ‘Just the Way You Are’ with Kristy McNichol on VHS. But when I got to see him in ‘Longtime Companion,’ I got over my jealousy of him and simply cried over his, and the entire cast’s, performance. He demonstrated clearly that he was a lot more than a good looking guy who got to live out a high school kid’s midnight fantasy of getting to play the younger lover of two great looking, older actresses. I only wish I had been as lucky as you to catch some of his musical theatre work!
Now that you’ve been able to interview Bruce Davison and Patrick Cassidy, you definitely got to land their co-star, Campbell Scott!
Oh, and by the way, the movie where Bette Davis wears an eyepatch was the horror-comedy ‘The Anniversary’ (1968), a Hammer Horror film where she played Mrs. Targgard “the most merciless mother of them all,” according to the tagline. I have it on DVD and it’s one where she’s completely chewing the scenery and obviously enjoying every moment of it!

Not a problem. I know what it can be like to be trying to place a particular costume choice for an actor/actress in a particular film and to never seem to come across that particular film…
Keep up the great work, Harvey!

I can't stop smiling, what a wonderful interview, it was great learning about everything he's done!
You interviewed his brother Ryan, didn't you, I enjoyed that one as well!!
You brought up the TV movie Christmas Eve, I watch it many times at Christmas & also throughout the year.
I watched it the night it premiered, oh the tears... If I could ask Patrick a question, it would be, when the movie first aired, was the title of it called The Christmas Dove? That's what I remember in my stubborn brain. I hadn't seen it for a few years then it has a new title. I video taped it & played it so much I wore it out! Now I watch it on UA-cam, Miss Young made it available for her fans who loved her & Christmas. ❤️
Sorry Harvey, looks like I got caught up in a memory again.
This interview was the best part of my day!
    Thank You!!! 🤗

I have know pat for 50 years we meet at the Beverly Hills ymca. But we became friends when we were both in are late thirties. We played basketball and racketball together for many years. He was a very good athlete he was really good in both sports. We were very competitive with each other. Pat was a star quarterback at Beverly Hills high school unfortunately he broke his shoulder and that ended his career. But he went into acting and never looked back. The great thing about pat was he never once bragged about his accomplishments I never knew how successful he was because he never bragged about it he was very humble. We still talk every once in awhile

The fact that he was able to forego alcohol and drugs, and was quite health conscious in his youth, evidently paid off well! He is 62 years of age! In fact, he appears to be one of those guys who gets better with age, like wine and cheese.

Harvey has anyone done a biography on Jack Cassidy? I think that would be an interesting interview. Jack seemed to not get his due respect does he?......just David/Saun's dad who died in a house fire is most of what I remember. Shirley did a great job being a wonderful role model to her sons and stepson. I saw your interviews with now three of her sons. They are all upstanding men.I think David was an awesome guy but got caught up in some demons like his dad.I think that would be an awesome biography for someone to do.

    • @terrishimmel9258
      @terrishimmel9258 4 місяці тому

PS. Patrick, Saun, Ryan are examples of what people in the entertainment industry should be....about the work...not about the fame. All three of these fine men talked about the work they enjoyed in and around the entertainment industry. That is how it should be.
