The league needs to figure goaltender interference out. Carlson was clearly pushed into the goalie by burns AND it had no impact on kochetkov's ability to play his position, the puck was going in regardless. Figure it out nhl
I totally agree. Although it doesn't matter for the outcome of the game, it matters for the players. Also, this kind of call always seems to go against the caps. In fact, I am convinced if it were flip flopped, I would still think it's a terrible call. It should be interference on the defender of John Carlson. There is a little shoving allowed in and around the crease. Thats it, though. The forcing of a player into the goal and/or goalie is interference and is dangerous for everyone involved. It is the goal and it inherently will attract the puck. If players are being forced down by the goal, it just increases the likelihood of them getting wilsoned in the face with a puck or getting skate blades flying around. The league has had enough time to figure out the wording of everything. They just need to, clearly, convey that to the nhl and referees. Toronto is also supposed to be much better. There have been too many messed up, or overturned calls that Toronto is responsible for, over the years.
I think in this case the player was going to end up in there anyway, so I understand the call. But these decisions are like a lottery in general, so your point is very valid.
Totally agree. If that was interference, ok. But in that case, call it in every game. You want the players to know what they can and can't do. But also, you can not punish a team for a wrong challenge if there is no clear understanding of the rule.
F the NHL refs. Caps get screwed every game. Burns rode Carlson into the net on the disallowed goal. Carolina got away with at least three blatant trips.
Kotchetkov had a good game, he should have had Vrana's goal, and he was bailed out by the refs when Burns shoved Carlson into the net. But on the other two, I can't fault him for not seeing around Protas. He made a lot of good saves, even though he didn't have to make a lot of saves.
Lindgren makes an average save and does a roll making it look more spectacular than it actually is....he could have just stood there and blocked it with his pads standing up.
The boys were rolling tonight. How Lindgren made that save...wow. Awesome to see former Bears players do all the scoring. Another crap goalie interference call. Really, does the NHL know what it means?
It figures that the terrible goalie interference call just happened to be the difference between this game being the under instead of the over with the line at 5.5. Im so happy I didn’t make any bets tonight because my money would have def been on the over considering you had two of the higher scoring teams in the league playing, I would have been absolutely furious with that goal being taken off the board, BS.
@@romanborris7919 Amen to that ..Also Jake looks like he is picking up his defense game as well. You lose to much offense taking him out. The guy has a elite shot.

Any other team that would have counted.

@4:56 “look at Lindgren, a cartwheel glove save. Out of this world, both of them”
Lindgren was just jealous watching the impressive manner of Kochetkov's play and made a save by stacking the pads
The 'head nod' makes it 'everything' after the save! Unbelievable ❤🎉
That 4th goal by the caps was a GOOD goal..B.S. CALL
Carlson getting one back from McMichael for that early season goalie interference lol
But seriously though, how is he NOT pushed in by Canes own no 8?

How do you not know this yet?! Refs don't make that call...that's Toronto situation room. Refs called it a good goal on the ice ffs.

шикарная игра!
Brent Burns can push carlson into the net and they call it goaltender interference on CARLSON???
What an absolute joke that goal called back was
The capitals scored twice in the McNugget minute . Does that mean you get two free 6 piece nuggets from McDonald's?
Awesome win for the Capitals
CAPS CAPS CAPS!!!
@2:42 the “McNugget Minute”
McMichael scored within the 2nd McNugget Minute

Vrana's was a pretty good shot to be fair to kotchetkov.

@5:20 snapshot, SCORE. Jake “the snake”
Love the new meta in the NHL, if you're on D, push an opponent into your goalie, they WILL get goalie interference.
KO-KETCH-KOV lol
Wow, what a horrible call on that last goal. Even a blind man could tell that's not goaltender interference.
А шайба влетела в ворота которые были полностью смещены ,то ниче?

This is Kotchetkov against Capitals!... To come to Capitals's home and to try to win is insolent!...
Man what does Jake the snake have to do to stay in the lineup Caps FFS he would have 10 already if you would let him play every game.
he's a defensive liability in general
that's why he's been sitting
