I've seen a lot of amagi vs haku comparisons and a lot of things are quite baffling to me regarding the way it's done. For starters, We should compare the best setup of Haku with the best setup of Amagi to have a fair comparison. Thus, the vanguard of haku vs amagi should not be the same: Haku should be running helena sirius kaza, and amagi should be running torp spammer (unzen is used, I prefer shimakaze in practice even if slashes are not buffed, that's a whole different point) =>If helena+kaza+unzen was better for haku teams, we would have calc'd with that before amagi was released. Were people just lagging for 2 years and unzen is better than sirius? The reason why we have kazagumo+unzen instead of kaza+sirius or even sirius+unzen is that Amagi buffs IJN torps, and the theory is that the extra damage beats the extra buffing. However, Haku teams previously DID NOT run unzen and SHOULD NOT be forced into unzen unless it is also the best for them. I understand that helena-less teams could run kaza+sirius+unzen which would be the same for Amagi teams. But in the event where you need a tank/specific unit for the meta fight, Amagi teams would be throwing away sirius whereas Haku teams would try to keep sirius+kaza+[flex unit]. So a fair comparison would still be to include sirius for haku and not for amagi. All the calcs that I've seen only address Amagi doing more than Haku when both have the same vanguard, and if you do use the same vanguard, then that's great. But it probably isn't the same all the time due to the different buffs that Amagi provides. -------------------------------------- Beyond the vanguard issues, (as the average lazy viewer) I would be much more interested to see useful, practical calcs to answer questions such as: 0. "Is shinano+haku better than haku+amagi?" From what I've seen, there have been 0 publically available calcs for the question that should have been done first, and I'm just surprised that this obvious question wasn't done on every AL content creator channel by now when that's literally the most clickbait title for every gacha game: "Is xx better than xx? Powercreep?!?!". 1. "Is running no implac better than running implac now?" 2. "Which torpedo vanguard should I pair with Amagi?" (subset would be whether kaza+2 torp users beat out sirius++kaza+1 torp user, whether an additional torp user>sirius) 3. "What gear is best (for med/heavy)?" = while every calc "answers" this, yours is the best I've seen since you knew to use TB for Amagi's second slot because Amagi buffs all torp damage. I would like to see a 2 vit-2 & beacon vs 2 junker+2 catapult someday (honestly for future gear too), since the damage difference between 2 vit vs 2 junker is 10% whereas a +13 steam cata only gives 2% more+avi. Sounds like a pain to calc over just switching planes though, but I wouldn't really know. All in all, thank you for your work. Much appreciated

Because of the 10% HIT rate buff first and foremost, then because of the 10% AVI buff second. There’re countless many of cases where Aurora is more preferred against certain enemies. The moment her HIT rate buff isn’t involved even Ting An is better. She’s as situational as most other options - Why would Unzen be the best option for Amagi? Because of that torpedo buff? Do you use Akagi and Kaga because of that skill 3 as well? Get rid of that rigid thinking already, might make your life easier - The best option depends on the BOSS, not on the fleet. No one use Sirius against heavy armor, let be serious. What is this about Hakuryuu team not using Unzen? Where were you when Rodney meta released? Even now against Nagato meta, Unzen is the favorite, regardless of backline. If the boss demands Sirius then she will be used with Amagi. And with Sirius, the gap is now widen by an extra 20K - Why would Hakuryuu Amagi even be considered? That’s obviously worse that the average person should have known if they have any idea what they’re talking about - Why would Implacable be kicked out all of the sudden? Did you use Enterprise over Ark Royal back in the day? - Stop thinking about the load out of only one person. When the load out of one person changes obviously the other two have to change as well. That’s literally what speed adjusting is all about

I gave up on her when I saw that 80% avi bs. Trash ship than , even more trash now. Her sole saving grace was and still is her PR status Meaning everyone can get her.

As someone who mainly uses BB's for main fleet, should i even care about this comparison? Sure i cant 1 shot current bosses but i dont really mind waiting a few more seconds during the second attempt for the kill. I know your channel is analytical but in the grand scheme of things what does a few percentage points difference truly mean for the bigger picture in the game.

Crazy how amagis buffs for frontline didnt even need to be mentioned and shes still noticeably better than haku in both investment level and peak

Most people, including me, probably don't care enough about and can't one shot the bosses. But it's still interesting to see min maxing strategies
