2、冲水箱上方保持不放上瓷蓋子，以便隨時都可舀入生活回收水，坐式馬桶旁邊固定放個大型水桶，隨時收集可再利用的生活回收水。民國95年以前，大家用很久的舊型冲水馬桶，這型式坐式馬桶都可以採用這個半自動冲水。
3、有時候若是生活回收水不夠冲馬桶，就用水勺去馬桶旁邊的水龍頭取水。
