Jacqui Lambie says government's decision to strip war medals is 'insensitive'

As many as nine Australian commanders who served in the Afghan war have been stripped of their awards, following findings from a war crimes investigation that Defence Minister Richard Marles called a "national shame".
Tasmanian senator Jacqui Lambie labelled the timing of Thursday's decision, which comes two days after the final report into Veteran and Defence suicides, as "absolutely atrocious" and "insensitive".
