I have a 67 383 camper special. I’m super jealous of your build. Got a high compression 383 with 906 heads going in it. Road runner cam and road runner headers. 383 performer intake and 750 cfm carb. But I’d love to turbo charge it.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like a victor single plane intake. That’s not too bad for a stock RV 440. My stock 440 only made 280 hp to the tires before I pulled it and made it a 505 ci. I’m thinking of making it a turbo since I have it pulled out again . Is your engine still holding up or did you blow it up yet? I didn’t see a intercooler or water meth kit. Hopefully it’s still raising hell
What's a basic set up to turbo a 440 in a dart, I'm not looking for 700 or more hp, just a reliable single turbo, I have no idea what's all needed besides my carb needs to be a blow through & that I need a turbo, any help will be beyond gratefully appreciated. Nice job. Basically I'd like to put out numbers like your truck
@@g3mccotter okay thank you, well I know where to come for help, hopefully your up for further questions..i have an old turbo book but really haven't got the lingo to understand it yet.
Turbo manifolds will probably be your biggest obstacle, gonna have to go with custom manifolds. Hi performance electric fuel pump, your better off doing a fitech efi throttle body instead of a carb. Fuel pressure regulator with boost reference and with return line, good quality fuel so you don’t lean out, run 1-2 colder range on your spark plugs, good ignition system, try to lower your compression ratio if possible, open up the ring gaps a little bit as well that’ll go a long way trust me. and most importantly a DAMN good tune
@@jy7duality yeah going to efi is probably the easier in the end. I don't the the compression was lowered on this truck. Head studs weren't even mentioned, not sure the they were even off. Running e85 makes it all a bit safer.
Thumb's up for sleepers!
Nothing quite like a old raggedy Dodge truck with a surprise under the hood, absolutely love it.
100%
The build list made me love every bit of this truck. Basically a big motor with a cam and second hand parts.
The carburetor is worth more than the truck. 😄👍🏻
My dad put a 440 in his 71 fargo in the late 80's this still rips
Haha nice. I bet
The music makes watching this all the more fun but hilarious 😂
Haha
Damn that 68 dodge is frickin sick that truck haul some major ass I'm jealous.
Yeah man it's rad and sketchy
Awesome D200 beater fellas!
Awesome! There must be full of fun.
I just picked up a '73 motorhome 440 for my Cordoba. This is giving me some really sinister ideas... ;P
Haha yeah throw it in a truck with some boost
@@g3mccotter Step 1.) Toss it in my Expedition .
Step 2.) Confuse people.
Step 3.) Profit.
When's the 106mm Precision Turbo, aluminum cnc'd heads & forged bottom end gonna be done? 😇
Divergent Delta well now that this vid is made I imagine the motivation will speed up the process for phase two.

Yeah that thing sounds pretty awesome. If you're at Sea level it should especially rip
Very cool, love the sound of the Turbo.
Yeah it does have a good sound
Who owns this? Is there an Instagram page or anything on it? Build thread on a forum?
Good stuff.. very nice..
Subed quite a beast , im in colorado too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!

Nice truck. Wish we could get E85 up here in Communist Canada :)
Haha at least you know it's communist
I want to do the same setup on my ramcharger. Is there anyway I can get some info on the setup or where to get some of the parts. Please and thank you
I was the filmaker.
Salute you sir!

He pulled it out and went with a bigger built engine and efi, don't think it's done yet.

Exhaust manifold to mount turbo, Intercooler, blow off valves, catch cans, wastegates. There's quite a bit to put into it if you want to make boost

Mopar Go Far !
Want to do the same to my 69 D 100 short box . 440 engine .
That sounds nice
Wait, 450hp for a TURBOED 440?? Shouldnt a turbo/supercharger add like 50% more power than its already making?
Yeah he had wrong carb on it. Ended up making like 600
@@g3mccotter holy shit nice lmaooo
@@g3mccotter what cam did you use ? I’m trying to do the same with a 64 dodge polara
Great to see a big block mopar still not some gay as hell LSpos
I owned two of those trucks.. when dodge were trucks
Noice
Beautiful, just beautiful😂
I'm sure people are saying wtf? Hahahaha
Yeah when they hear it's snail noises people freak. Otherside it's just a big v8 in a old truck.
What turbo cam did you use
I'm not sure I just made the video
dum dum dum....another classic bites the dust
You're right it should have ended up as a cube of metal and then a Hyundai
Ha ha that's one lucky truck! I'm on other team with a RV 454 69 c10 long bed. But love em all to be honest especially yours. Well done
that's Awsome!
D Anderson yeah thing is sketchy fast
Roll cage?
kenneth enriquez haha roll cage... good one
lol , they dont even have seat belts
u should be putting down More hp than that some better heads and cam 👌👌
Yeah it made about 60p with the carb and tune dialed
Seriously, a mild 440 puts pretty close to those same numbers down. Surprised at how low they were for having 14psi
@@Superburd not at the rear tires , not even close .
Just 450hp figured it would be more
Yeah it wasn't right. Didn't have a blow through carb then
beater
