I remember that original video. It was black&white and seemed to me so cool. It was shown on some European mtv top 20 or smth and I've only seen it just once, but remember all my life. And it was so wonderful that it costed only 2 pounds but absolutely made a feeling that it was the original idea!

Well, there was first the frames with revelation. It is from 1996 and radiohead had success with climbing...in 1997. Stange things happens everyday and real heart and music is often not compatible with success cause it is unique and people get inspired by it and sometimes they became famous with stolen ideas. The little 6 step melody key from radiohead is a 7 step melody key from the frames before the chorus part. In my opinion and for me it is a fact that radiohead got inspired by the frames in that way. Dont wanna make a big discussion about how musicians get inspired by other musician. But if you think about radiohead please notice that the frames song was written and published first.

I found a electricity bill addressed to Glen Hansard in the Marquee Club Green Room in Soho London when I worked there in the 90's. :)
I like how it sounds like Glen fronting the Pixies.
One of the best rock songs ever 😢
i first heard this song on the tv show surfer magazine...brilliant song thanks ..the credits at the end of the tv show said
the frames dc
yeah apparently DC refers to dublin county (at least that is what I was told a while ago) but if anyone has a better idea, please do tell.
They added the DC for a record release in America as a band of the same name, The Frames, existed in the US at the time.
Ни одного комментария на русском - буду первым. Решил посмотреть все клипы. Так как много слушал Глена, но не смотрел клипы. А их оказывается не мало)
The original video was filmed in a post office and only cost £2 (€2.54) to make. I saw that video on RTE 2 back in the 1990s.
who's got a copy of that video?! must post it!
@@aydengraham I do but it will cost you £2

That's right, I remember when it came out, outspan had his own band. In fairness he became Glen fairly quickly. Fitzcarldo still sounding complete.

My simple slant
My broken chant
My human fate
My revelate
Are you so far from me this day
That you can't say my revelate
My open arms
My lucky charm
Number eight my revelate
I fucked it up
I rest my case
It all to grey
My revelate
Sometimes I need a revelation
Cause sometimes it's all too hard to take
Sometimes I need a revelation
This time I'm making my own now
Does this mean we're though
Does this mean it's gone
Spent a day just to ponder the words
That I would write to you this day
But it's too great, my revelate
Sometimes I need a revelation
Sometimes its all too much to take
Sometimes I need a revelation
This time it's up in arms
This time I need you revelation
Cause sometimes it's all too much to take
This time I need you revelation
Cause sometimes it's easy just to hate you
Sometimes I need a revelation
Redeem yourself

Well, Thank you Dermot :-) Now I am a Frames Fan, too
I spent a day just to ponder the words
the movements of these guys, looks, and some guitar sounds remind me of radiohead..

Three dopes gave this the thumbs down ...
Glen, Christy Dignam and Phil Lynott are all 1000 times better than Bono.
none of them as good as brush sheilds
still--no one has told him. he is laughable. not that it would make any difference...glen has what it takes...thick skin and brain.
Oirish begrudgery.
