I see what you mean about the Vallejo green, for Napoleonics I've been using Luftwaffe Camo Green and then blended with Reflective green for the highlight. The Reflective green is very bright so I wouldn't use that straight I don't think. Thanks for uploading this, informative and always good to listen to the chat.
@@gavinbooth It's a great format for painting alongside you. I've been doing a lot of these Foundry Napoleoncis recently. Just taking a look at my unpainted Victrix to see what I have left.
The white uniform period was mainly due to lack of indigo dye. Whole sections of the French army were affected by it. One of the problems reared its head when fighting the Austrians (haha!). It was relatively short term however.
The detail of French Napoleonic Infantry drummers can be notorious. It is safer to go with the Regimentals, although any criticism would be minimal, who is going to argue unless there is hard evidence (doubtful). Nice presentation as usual Gav.
