Korg EK-50 Keyboard - 744 Sounds Part 1/3
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 лип 2019
- Hello everyone.
In the next 9 Videos, I will be showing you everything that is on the Korg EK-50 Keyboard.
The Korg EK-50 I believe was released in September last year, and this particular Keyboard is not my own Keyboard, I have borrowed it from Bonners so that I can do some Videos of it, I no longer have this Keyboard as I have taken it back about a week ago.
As I have only borrowed this Keyboard and only had it for a limited time, I'm afraid there wont be a tutorial of this Keyboard, but I will be showing everything else on it ranging from Sounds, Styles and Songs.
This is also the very first time that I have showcased a Korg Keyboard, although I do own some Korgs, but I have not yet showcased them.
This Video is going to be Part 1 of 3 showing the 744 Sounds that are on the Korg EK-50 Keyboard.
Enjoy!

Thank you, it's appreciated 🙏 😊
142 Pipe Tutti [1:13:14] and 148 Full Pipes [1:15:50] are the reasons why I am going to buy the Korg EK-50. 145 ChurchOcMix [1:14:42] and 146 DetunChurch [1:15:06] are also amazing voices, from what I can hear in this video. This has the absolute best organ sounds for this price range, much better than the Yamaha PSR-E series and the Casio CT-X Series. The only thing that can top it for me is the Church Organ expansion pack found on the Yamaha PSR-S770 and PSR-SX series. The expansion pack for the S670 does not have all of the voices and isn't worth picking up if it doesn't have that [in my opinion].
Absolutely agree with you
Beautiful performance.
The great thing about this keyboard are the very good sounding sounds, which include sounds no other key in the entry-level price range offers
Thank you for your comment! That is true, although this is only an entry-level keyboard and is nothing compared to the PA-1000, PA4x or Kronos etc, it does pack some great sounds for an entry level Korg, I like the fact they also added some M1 sounds on it too, so all in all, a great sounding keyboard for the price!
Thanks for watching!
The Casio CT-X series sounds better and are cheaper.
@ICT I prefer a better sounding keyboard, the buttons design doesn't affect the performance.
Blimey, mine comes tomorrow, probably find a dozen sounds I like and stick to them, its almost overkill, but great value. Thank you for doing these videos.
Thank you for your comment! I’m glad this video has helped you in deciding to get this keyboard, it has great sounds and rhythms, I like the old sounds from Korg synths such as the M1, i3 etc.
Thanks for watching!
Hey Michael is Michael here... 😉. Thank you so much for your time and effort for the great video. Stay healthy Michael and have a great summer

Congratulations for you good Work for meus. Hello from Brazil
thank you
Thank you for what? You said the exact same thing on 4 of my videos
My favorite sound are the M1 piano sound, busy boy, harmonica, violin, strings, M1 trumpets, the M1 piano with voices, grand piano and a bunch of other sound but my most absolute favorite is the M1 piano sound. This piano is worth it because it can be heard on the more expensive piano like the korg Pa Sirius and a bunch of other korg high in price piano
You are talking about the m1 piano like from korg triton le and studio?
@@alexnimmy6178 the piano sound at 7:47
I love how it has the lovely old M1 piano sound. I really want to find a way of being able to get this piano sound in logic pro.
I hear some triton, some M1 and some 01/W Not bad for a home keyboard.
Огромное СПАСИБО за видео. Оказывается, это совсем не игрушка, а достойный инструмент.
Sorry, can you please comment in English on my comments section. Thank you.
The Korg EK-50 is a great value for money. It's a great tool for composing songs. I like jamming with the rhythm tracks as they have several fill variations. For an arranger keyboard, you can't beat it for the price.
Thank you for your comment! Yes this keyboard is a great value for money, and you get lots of sounds and styles for this range of keyboard, especially with 4 variations per style which you don’t usually get in an entry level keyboard, and you can also play 3 sounds at the same time with the right hand side which is also unheard of in this range of keyboard.
Thanks for watching!
Can we download additional styles in this keyboard 🤔

pls help..im having a hard time accessing the 700+ sounds/voices
Please a showcase of sounds and rhythms of casio ctk5200 buy it and do
How to change keyword set to sound mood?? Please help
Hmm. My Yamaha EW-300 placed many of the voices on higher numbers, so you can explore many basic sounds in the first 100 (Pianos through Flutes).
Than you don't no nothing bout the yamaha psr s670
There are also Indian tones and styles in Korg ek50.Then, let me know sir, what is the difference in both ek 50 and ek 50 IN.Please keep my request.
sir could you pls make a short tutorial on how to access the 744 sounds/voices..
I no longer have this keyboard I’m afraid, but hopefully there will be another video in which it shows you how to do that
I'm sure you use tempo wheel to cycle thru
Thank you for all very much!!!!!! I put you kindly a question, can this keyboard reproduce midi files or mp3 files? Thanks for Your answer
Thank you for your comment! You can produce MIDI files by recording songs, but you can’t produce MP3 files however, you can play back MP3 files

Please help :(.. Psr ew410, ct x5000 or this?
Rolando Cofre just like the comment I replied to you on another video, I would still say the CT-X5000
Good day.
I am interested in your reviews of the Korg EK-50.
I recently purchased this tool, I understand the settings.
To my great regret, there are no such videos in Russian. You have to learn the tool intuitively.
I have to ask you:
Your video series is called: "Korg EK-50 Keyboard - 744 Sounds Part 1/3".
744 tones .... I can't turn on more than 176.
Please tell me how to turn on all the sounds so that it is 744, as stated in the characteristics of the instrument.
If you need to download them, tell me where you can download them?
Sincerely, Alexander.
Thank you for your comment! Yes Korg products has always been frustrating when it comes to accessing all sounds, the 176 sounds you mentioned are registrations.
To get access to the full 744 sounds, you hold down the shift button whilst pressing either left or right 1 2 and 3 buttons to gain access to the 700+ sounds, Korgs have always been that way with their keyboards and it is frustrating to those that just want to access the sounds, not the keyboard sets, the keyboard sets are basically like registrations etc.
Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Can I use this keyboard to make instrumentals
Yes you can. You can make instrumentals on any keyboard.
PA-300 better at all ?
I just bought one of these and I'm trying to figure out how to pull up all the 744 sounds. It seems like I can only scroll through 176. Can you help?

@@KeyboardKrazy49 Thank you for that information. I apologize but I still seem to be struggling with figuring this out. Can you clarify the instructions? I pressed and held down the shift button and then hit the 1,2, and 3 buttons and I couldn't seem to get them to pull up. It kept reverting to the 176 registrations. Thank you again for the help!
@@Koinonia737 as I don’t have this keyboard any longer, I can give you a link to the manual, hope it will help you, here is the link: cdn.korg.com/us/support/download/files/f84ef496ca5736aba913e0e36a91b443.pdf?response-content-disposition=inline%3Bfilename%3DEK50_OM_E4.pdf&response-content-type=application%2Fpdf%3B
@@Koinonia737 just had a quick look at the Manual myself of the picture of the keyboard, I believe you hold down shift, and press Upper 1, Upper 2 or Upper 3 to get access to the 700+ sounds, so you can change the sounds for the right hand side 1, 2 and 3 as you can layer up to 3 sounds at the same time on the right hand side.
Hope this helps, and hope the manual helps you too
@@KeyboardKrazy49 Thank you so much for the help! I will take a look at this.
How to record a song on this Keyboard?
thanks.
I’m not sure since I have borrowed this keyboard, I didn’t have time to do a tutorial video
I wonder if you can get or borrow a cord EK 50 so you can make a to Torio of this keyboard please? Because the reason why I asked is that I recently start playing with the cord EK 50 and I want to try to get familiar with it settings, thanks.
@@georgewu4271 Ive already borrowed this keyboard for videos, I won’t be borrowing it again since I have already done a series of it, doing a tutorial on a Korg admittedly is not easy compared to Yamaha and Casio
That's okay, I will make a tutorial of this keyboard.
I cannot switch keyboard set to sound ☹

korg pa50 brother
Very good. One video on sounds only with no talking, another video on styles with no talking and the third on features are enough for buying decision. Talking while demonstrating and sound and styles are waste of time and interrupt listening concentration to sounds and style.
How come it says over 700 sounds and yet it only goes up to
176 then goes back to number 1? I can't believe I wasted my
money on this keyboard.
The sounds you must be referring to are just the sound sets (similar to registrations), if I remember correctly, you hold down the shift button whilst pressing either left, or right 1, 2 or 3 buttons to gain access to the 700+ sounds.
Hope this helps
Oh! Now I see! Whew! Thanks, I thought I had been conned. Thanks!
@@Nen783 no worries, glad I could help with the situation, it is a very common misunderstanding and I know you’re not the only one who thought the same thing, I thought Korg would be a lot more user friendly with this keyboard considering that it’s an entry level product
Showing how you access all the various functions is much mre important than just demonstrating the sounds.
Well I have only borrowed this keyboard for a little while, so I didn’t have any time for a tutorial video
