Can we take a second to acknowledge that in so many of these episodes Rebecca‘s guests, really big content creators that we all love so much, talk about Rebecca helping them with content and social media and things like that? So many other creators with big egos would easily "yea, this content creator would be NO WHERE without me and my help" but Rebecca doesn't even MENTION it. We only get glimpses of how supportive she is when no one is looking because these GIANT content creators give her props publicly for it, and even then she wont milk it she will move the conversation along. THAT is true character. That is something to admire about her. It proves she is just as caring behind the camera as she is in front of it. What a queen!

@@carlycasper7884Siiri has 4.7 million subscribers on Tik Tok, I would respectfully argue that they both have very large followings and that comparing the numbers once they reach a certain point isn't helpful to the conversation. I think what they were trying to say is Rebecca isn't the type of person to brag about her connections with other content creators despite being very helpful behind the scenes.

@carlycasper7884 maybe on youtube. But it seems like people that are influencers obviously start with Tik Tok to begin with and Tick Tock has become very silly with a lot of their regulations and rules and stuff like that. So a lot of them people have been starting to come to UA-cam and not everybody uses youtube that uses tick tock. Either way Siri is a pretty big influencer no matter the actual numbers. Not everybody that watches people subscribe to them. A lot of the UA-camrs I watch they say there's so many of you that aren't subscribed but we have so many people that watch. I'm subscribed to both of these Siri and Mrs Rogers but not everybody is. But that doesn't mean they don't still watch, doesn't mean that the videos a lot of them, haven't went viral for them😮 but it's super awesome that they both have such a great following and strong community of ppl that love them. Like I said in my other comment, I absolutely love both of these ladies. And they most definitely are the definition of a lady❤😊❤😊❤😊 keep up the good work❤ you guys together are just absolutely positively the best collaboration I've seen in a while😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

@@kiranicole2096 It sounded like they were saying that Rebecca gives out free advice but is struggling to gain traction with her own content. I only mentioned sub count as proof that Rebecca is doing well and to show that the people she is giving advice too aren’t surpassing her. Wasn’t meant to discredit either of them.

When I was in and out of the hospital for a year, my hair at the back got matted. I actually had a hairdresser, who worked with the hospital, come to my room and give me a cut, shampoo, and dry. It felt so good running a comb through my hair again. Then after the hospitalizations, I was in a nursing home. The day before I was being discharged I had a hair coloring while I was in my wheelchair. I am so grateful to those two ladies, who brought their services to unique places and making the customer/patient feel so much better.

I quit doing hair because some customers are just cruel, they think you are beneath them once you put the apron on. During mask mandates I was spit on, had things thrown at me, and screamed at on the daily. I definitely can testify as a first time mom how easy it is for your hair to get matted. I had twin girls and almost immediately struggled with postpartum depression and I wasn’t eating, cleaning, or taking care of myself. All my time and energy went towards making sure my daughters were happy and healthy and taken care of. There were two times where I just cut all my hair off because I was so embarrassed it got that bad and was scared to ask for help. It feels so good to hear you guys talk about this subject. Something you don’t hear about very often. And making people aware that at that point you’re not just able to take or shower or brush it out. Yes sometimes with lots of time and patience and probably lots of money, it can be taken care of and brushed out, but a lot of the times us ladies have to cut all of our hair off, something that was a major part of our identity. That in itself is soul crushing. I remember asking myself how could I let myself fall so low, how could I let myself be this disgusting. I was extremely hard myself simply because I couldn’t brush my hair out. Idk I’m rambling. I just want to say thank you for making others aware of a very real situation for new moms or people who struggle with depression.

Last time I went to a hair stylist she cut my hair to my shoulders when I asked for it to be at the bottom of the back of my bra. She cut off over a foot of my hair and I had no intention of donating my hair, because I wasn’t going to be cutting that much off. She still went ahead and chopped all of my hair off. I never let anyone touch my hair after that. I learned how to cut my own hair after that day. I wanted to fight that lady I didn’t pay her and everyone in the shop agreed with me. It was f’d up that she did that to me. It was 5 years of natural virgin hair growth just to be left with a Dora haircut pissed me off.

The story about the women whos hair was matted really hit me hard. When I was in high school I was living with my father who was very neglectful and I got severely depressed. It started as just forgetting to brush my hair for long periods of time but eventually it got stuck in a bun and I couldnt get it untangled so for months i just kept putting it into the bun to try and hide it. It was so embarrasing. I didn't go to a hairstylst for years because I had so much anxiety from that expereince. Its very nice to hear people talk about this type of situation with such compassion.

My husband and I tackled in at the end of September and I ended up with an undercut and like 4 inches on top of my head. I have really bad mobility issues & I really can’t take care of my hair by myself anymore. So once it hits a certain length it goes into a bun for 1-2 yrs.

The worst have always been the people who ignore the fact that I have really fine hair and tell them that I don't want a lot of layers. When I find someone who listens, I see them till they retire or move and tip them well. I currently travel 2 hours to see my stylist and tip them around 30%. Never half ash consultations. Instead I’ve had stylists try to “upsell me” on getting my hair dyed by essentially making fun of my natural colour and I’ve had another one audibly laugh and belittle me when I told her I was trying a new shampoo and conditioner (I think it was function of beauty at the time). I love my old hairdresser so much, even if I don’t go to her anymore (I’ll give context). I have been going to her since I was 4 until I was 19, I live in Scotland and I am half African which means I have extremely curly hair. There are many Scot’s with curls but the hairdressing market for curly stylists are few and even less so in the early 2000s. So my mum took me to this hairdresser for years and both of them did their best to help me love my hair (mum is also white Scottish raising a mixed kid with crazy hair). The internet didn’t have a lot of info for curly styling back then either so they both learned as I grew up. We tried thinning hair nets, thinning sheers, keratin treatments, sulfate free shampoos. I grew up learning how to do my hair from women who were learning themselves. The reason I stopped going to her was because I went to uni and I looked up hair tutorials to cut and style my own hair but I love and appreciate my old stylist still for working hard to make me feel beautiful. She gave me my first job as an assistant and she did my prom hair for £10, and she made sure my hair was healthy until I was old enough to figure it out on my own

From the time I was 3 to 19, I went to the same hair stylist. She moved like 5 times, then got the old crew back at the original OG salon. I’m still in touch with her! But I moved 3,000 miles away, and had to find a new person. I’ve gone to my current stylist for like 8 years, but I have to go to a different girl to do colors.

I love my hair stylist, Lynzy! I've followed her from shop to shop since the mid 2000's and now she has her own place and teaches. She's way out of my budget so I can only go once a year, but I look forward to that day all year. 🥰

I have yet to find a stylist that I can stick with .. the one that I absolutely loved was fired for "stealing clients" but she wasn't stealing clients from other stylists she was working with.. she just does a really good job and one day when the girl Emily wasn't available.. I was given to Kylee. Kylee and I have so much in common and we got along so well and I love the way she did my hair so I went from Emily to Kylee and a few others did too. Maybe Emily should step her game up! Kylee was fired for this bc the owner and Emily are close. So now I'm back to square one trying to find a good hair stylist

  • @pixiemeg

The box color thing is so real though. It made my hair feel so brittle. (Hilariously, it DID make it easier to curl, which was pretty nice - that's a sign of damage though, anytime you change the pattern of the hair with things like heat curling or wet sets you're actually breaking some of the chemical bonds that hold your hair together and reforming them in the new shape. Damaged hair with weaker bonds does that more readily.)
I do still dye my own hair, but these days I only use semipermanents with no developer at all, and check the ingredients, because I'm trying to grow it out long and strong. ...Also because I'm impatient and want a new color every few months ANYWAY, and trying to get permanent black box dye out of my blonde hair was... Bad.

I appreciate a good stylist! They're sometimes hard to find when you actively embrace drastic change 😂.
I've had quite a few refuse to do my hair because i go between moods where I either grow it long or go pixie/buzz cut/shaved sides and they want to argue with the extremes I tend to go between so they just won't even though I'm fully aware of the consequences of my actions.
I've been like this my whole life and while I respect that there are people that regret their life choices and will complain the most I've ever done is ask if they can get the weird light hair behind my ears that's hard to see.

Yeah ai know a few people who have changed genders from female to male and one recommendation from him was to go to a barber.
      1) they know how to cut shorter hair and tend to do it on the regular so it's not a big thing to them.
      2) and probably most important, they now how shorter hair sits compared to longer hair.
      3) they were so good that even though they moved 2 to 3hours

As a teenager I dyed my hair with box colour for years, and I always thought because I wasn't using bleach it wasn't damaging my hair. When I grew out my hair and let the dye fade, and the areas of dyed hair looked like fuckin angel hair tinsel. 😂😂😭😭 Eventually my hair got long enough to cut all the damaged hair, and I decided to try to do it myself. I gave myself a gd mullet (way before it became cool again) and could only hide it by wearing my hair in a ponytail for like a year following.

I just got my first proper hairstylist at 19 after barely being able to take care of my hair while having really bad depression and I don't think we appreciate enough how most hairstylists double as someone who will listen when you need to rant. Like yes I kinda trauma bonded with my hairstylist because we both experienced a very similar kind of loss in our family and we also work together at least once a week, but when you find a good hairstylist that is willing to listen to you, they can genuinely help you find what you are looking for with your hair

Instead of payment I would keep her salon clean for the day as a trade off. Unfortunately she was & ex drug addiction & chain smoker & died of emphysema, cutting us all of because she was embarrassed cos she fell of the wagon. She went to people's homes to do their hair with oxygen tank in tow. I miss her so much. 😢

I have started watching Siiri recently. I just saw her talking about having weight loss surgery. I want to tell her I am proud of her for not letting people put her down for having it. I had a lap band 10 years ago. It is still working. I want to tell her I get why she did it for her health. Yes, loosing weight does make you look better and feel better about your self. Most of do it for our health. Sorry for the rant. Basically I just want to tell her she has support from this older woman and to keep telling those nay sayers who think it is the easy way out to go away and not come back. I think you are great!

The first time I got my hair (mid back length) permed, the stylist burned it so bad it had to be cut to shoulder length. I was in tears. I only go to a "professional" for the occasional trim now since my waist length hair is hard to get accurate in the back. I do my own coloring, cutting and used to do my own perms.

I would 100% be okay with my hairstylist pulling out a piece of paper, writing up what we agreed to do, and then us both signing it before proceeding so the stylist can relax
I've had to talk a few hairdressers into giving me bangs because they were so nervous I was going to be mad at them afterwards. I love my bangs, I look great in bangs (that's the stylists saying it too not just me), and I get bangs every 6-8 months so I know the effort and the eye poking. I think since I just go to whoever is available in the moment and this new person keeps seeing me without bangs they get nervous/not sure bangs are good for my face shape, so I keep offering to sign something that will say "Yes, I want bangs and I will deal with the consequences should there be any so long as it's the agreed upon style." 😂 Avery can write something up fo us
