  • Putting the 22'9" Rage R22 through some big waves on Lake Ontario and catching a couple smallmouth. Video never does big water justice but i can tell you i was the only boat I seen on the lake that day!

Couple of nice smallies at the end. That ride was getting bumpier as you went along. Glad you got a couple of bass, Derek. 👍

With your knowledge, how would you compare it vs Vexus DVX22? I chase salmon on Lake Michigan with other googans on weekends and I’m leaning towards Rage

Looks like a really dry riding boat

It really is! I had a few people post about how wet I was but with a 30 mph wind blowing wave spray straight back in the boat that’s just a reality. I’ve been on 40’ boat on the ocean and been soaking wet

@@derekstrub Question Derek, I have not seen the boat in person. It doesn't appear to have as accentuated of a bow flare as a yar craft TXF, Ranger 612, warrior or... Is it just that all videos don't do it justice or is this a feature of the variable hull design? It "looks" on video more of a cigarette, Donzi type bow design (steep deadrise, limited >0 bow flare).

@@johng.9877 You are correct John, it doesn’t have the bass boat style bow flare from the butt seat forward. More of an ocean wave cutting bow.

Sorry about the sound! Not sure where the crackle was coming from?
