- Here is a review of my beloved oxblood Cambridge Satchel 4 years after I bought it. I give you some hints and tips to keep your satchel looking good and my thoughts on the bag!
I love this bag and would love to get another satchel!

You might find a leather cream/balm/oil much more nourishing for leather than rubbing wax polish onto it. Unless of course your using the polish and buffering to give it a shine
Thanks Ann! Thats a damn good idea, I would rather have something more nourishing actually, not overly worried about shine. Are there any you have tried yourself? X
Yeah I use this stuff called "Renapur Leather Balsam" off amazon, right now i think its only about £12. It has some oils in it for nourishment and wax that waterproofs the leather. I use it on most of my leather products and find it great so far :) Waiting for my first Cambridge Satchel to arrive soon and will definitely be trying it out on that!

Getting the pine expedition satchel. I did want the oxblood one with the nice cream straps but they stopped selling it ;(
I've just had a look at that, very nice!! That handle on the top will be good as well - potentially stop you grabbing the bag from the top like I used to!! What a lovely colour as well! x

I have the exact same bag and had it for about 4 years now - mine is definitely worn in, whereas yours looks new like you hardly use it.
Do you use yours all year round? Mine tends to come out more in the Autumn and Winter although saying that it gets the worst of the weather. Do you waterproof yours? x

OK, I just got my first Cambridge Satchel and I have a question. I want to waterproof it with spray, do you spray the unfinished parts of the straps?
Hi there, many apols for the delay! I have been on my travels! I must admit I've never waterproofed the unfinished parts but only as I had never thought of it! Might be a good one to do though as its all added protection. Are u pleased with your bag?

I own one and just started using it yesterday,same one in oxblood,15inch and with a handle. I really like it,but in have gotten a snide comment saying it looks feminine on me as a guy.what do you think?would it really be too feminine for a guy?
I think the satchels are really unisex to be honest! Ignore the snides, they are probably just jealous cos it looks fab on you! x
Satchels are for everyone :) don't be intimidated by that comment, I bet you look amazing 😉
