i went out on my standard 650 interceptor yesterday... it not run in yet and it has lovely torque for an enjoyable ride on uk roads.. this new scrambler looks very nice the 19" front wheel great for potholed roads we now enjoy... its almost like RE are re-inventing the bikes we really need not HUGE gs tanks or plastic race wedges.... bikes for the ordinary rider.. nice one
This is exactly what I like! More of this mr Flyer! I picked up some other things on the net. Longer swingarm, bent rear-frame-loop, repositioned footpegs for standing up! This will probably be my next bike. After a test, of course.
Beautiful. The charm of the Continental and Himalayan combined. A Scrambler is a customized standard classic road bike. Being muddy and rough on the edges perfectly fits this bike. A winner.
That's a cracking motorcycle and should be affordable for the masses,,grey one is fantastic,,a real world bike,, get it here ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
NOW, that is a nice looking motorcycle 👍😉 I really hope they bring that out over here ,espescially that blue and yellow colour scheme and red white and blue. Looks a great rugged little beauty ❤️
Loving the look of this. An Aussie reviewer suggested he’d found a UK price of £7k. A direct translation into AUD makes that quite expensive for us over here. Will be really interesting to see how it rolls out. Great concept.
Great looking bike. With some nice colour schemes. Look forward to a full TMF review in the future. Hope the shoulder is getting better. Keep up the good work Andy.
Another winner for RE. Not a luxurious ride like the Wing, but sure to get the attention of many. I like the splash of color added to the wheels that some of the bikes seem to have. Just enough to really stand out. 👍👍
The Royal Enfield Bear popped up on my Facebook feed here in the USA yesterday. It was an advert from one of the local dealers (Throttle Company Columbus Ohio). Love the styling. Love the flat oval number board!
It looks really nice. Very Triumph-esque, but that's certainly not a bad thing and great option for those looking for a new bike at a decent price point.
This looks great - right up my street too. Thanks Andy. ..btw sure do like the sound and clarity of your new mike, it is worth the the $ in my opinion anyway although never anything wrong with old one I guess until this came along.
This looks fantastic. Royal Enfield Canada has it listed as $8899 - $9549, depending on the colour. Your favourite colour (Golden Shadow) lists for $9349.
Really exited by this bike already own the interceptor hope you are able to do a test ride review asap ,I reckon they will sell bucket loads of these ,Well done RE .
You have to admire RE for bringing out so many models based around their 650 engine, when it comes to marketing they really show the likes of BSA how it should be done.
I've got rid of my GoldStar, nothing wrong with my particular bike but a company who reduces its prices by over 25% in a year don't deserve my support.
I've been aware of this for a week or two via the socials. It looks very appealing and with the right accessories could be made into a nice adventure/touring rig. The RE OEM panniers look a bit skimpy capacity wise but no doubt there'll be plenty of aftermarket offerings along soon.
Had an Interceptor before and traded it for a Himalayan 450 (which I love). I would have gone for this bike though, if it had been around, 'cos the 650 motor is a peach. I also wanted USD forks (which the new bike has) and a single-side exhaust. The black crank cases are a bonus too as I soon got tired of polishing the allow cases on the Interceptor.
Looks interesting. I wonder why there are no fork boots on upside down forks? Looks like grit could easily damage the seals, the same applies to rear shocks. I like the grab rail and rear running/brake light, blue seat with the yellow/blue paint really works for a scrambler.
Good to see RE finally launch a scrambler version of their 650 Interceptor, as a chap who started his biking career on a series of 70s & 80s trail bikes (XL125 , XL250, XL500 & SP370) I have a soft spot for this style of bike, one thing I really wish the manufacturers of modern retro scramblers would stick to when it comes to styling is they fit a high level exhaust, a low level exhaust really doesn't suit this style of bike especially if you do decide to take it off road, other than that I look forward to seeing the RE Bear Interceptor in the metal.
Not as glitzy as some of the others BUT I think that 1 appeals to me an all. It is pure, Traditional, true to the genre. Thats exactly how it would look back in the early 70`s. Possibly even chequered tape across the tank ? am getting carried away now arnt I 🤔
A great looking bike from RE yet again. Certainly interested in one of these if they bring it over here. RE, think you need to do a survey via your European dealerships pretty quick. Thank you Mr. Flyer for the heads up.
🤔 wonder which bits n bobs will fit my interceptor. My preference is something in the middle, a bearceptor perhaps. Will be looking out for the 2 into 1 headers and heat shield.
Smart looking bike, I quite like the yellow but the grey also looks very nice. Hopefully it gets released over here soon and we can have a proper look over it. ATB, Dave
I like the yellow/blue one, not keen on grey/black, I do like the price. I do wish they’d bring out a 650 single engine for bikes like these, especially if the Classic it does surface in the future.
Whilst I'm not a fan of the Enfield they are good looking bikes so it will be interesting to see more on the new Scrambler. I'm sure your email included a kind offer to test ride and review one for them 😁so fingers crossed we'll get to watch a review video soon. Nice early heads up, thank you👍
Hi Andy …. Great scoop … I like this .. resembles the US Triumph’s in the 60-70’s .. could be interested in this !!!! Would love to see your road test when it lands in UK !!!!
Next week is the Italian motorshow, it will be there as well as (I hope) the Classic 650 will. And then we'll have to wait until a local dealer lets us have a test-ride, maybe summer 2025 ?
It’s been doing the promo thing around here but it’s not going to be available until February March of next year. It has upset Honda because of the CL500 not only is it better in every aspect but also cheaper. This is what a lot of people have been asking for.
RE - pls give Andy one of these for a month…he will help your sales with his in depth reviews! Would also like to hear about the ground clearance, thank you!
Love the look. It's looks to me like an retro dirt track bike that HD should have built. But RE beat the woke HD to the finish lane. If that was available when I got my license or if I did not already own a W800 cafe, I would buy that motorcycle! Stunning look for the price with good output that can do highway speeds to get to the next destination. RE you hit this out of the park for the US. 😊
Definitely having this , I do believe that many people who bought an interceptor tried to scramblerize them in the first place, and in all honesty, I think this is what most people were trying to achieve, I think this is going to be a great selling bike for them, I will definitely be buying it in boardwalk White😅
I wonder if they have introduced bread box catalytic converter because of a single exhaust / engine tune, or because of Euro 5+ ? (AFAIK the "+" is about making exhaust to monitor and keep emissions up to spec throughout vehicle lifespan)
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this bike once you get hold of it. It looks great and it's been in the pipeline for a while. My concerns would be the dash, obviously bRE have the same fashion other models but I like the dual click dash on the Interceptor but obviously craming more functions are possible on this more modern dash, It'd be interesting to get your thoughts on that.
Reading the Royal Enfield Canada site they say the Bear has the Tripper dash that’s on the Himalayan 450 again with integrated Google Maps is integrated and also has USB-C Looks to be in the £5K to £6K range at current exchange rates. (typically plus 12% tax although there are some exceptions).
Loads of vids on UA-cam, first looks and tests by mainly Indian blokes but bike was released for test in the U.S as the Bear was based on a competition a bloke did in the 60s he won a race on in Big Bear in an Enfield, few vids on accessories too.
Yes indeed - I think I said there were plenty of US and Indian reviews online didn't I? Certainly I mentioned it was Revzilla that drew my attention to this launching elsewhere....
There are a few videos of it in action and initial reviews floating about on the internet. I'd like to see whether this is a serious dual purpose bike or just a road machine trcked up to look the part. I wonder if R E have done an early partial release because they don't want it to take too much attention away from the Bullet 650 which is rumoured to be being released at EICMA in few days time.
At last a scrambler style bike with a decent front mudguard. Well done Royal Enfield 👏
Yes, it’s quite clever how they have styled it to look like a short mudguard but actually is still a practical length.
All of those color combinations look fantastic!
I agree...
i went out on my standard 650 interceptor yesterday... it not run in yet and it has lovely torque for an enjoyable ride on uk roads.. this new scrambler looks very nice the 19" front wheel great for potholed roads we now enjoy... its almost like RE are re-inventing the bikes we really need not HUGE gs tanks or plastic race wedges.... bikes for the ordinary rider.. nice one
A great looking bike in a rather excellent choice of colour schemes.
I agree!
A winner.
I like the Blue and orange myself. Bruce Bonues Friday video. 😀
I know, I’m spoiling you this week!
The grey, white and black version looks gorgeous. Its 19" front wheel is a plus.
RE are absolutely killing it with the colours. Hopefully the fury 650 sports bike is more than just a rumor
Well they seem to be hitting most genres so why not a sport bike!
I absolutely love their colors!
Looks a very lazy design. Not much scrambler about it with the low exhaust and poor ground clearance .
The headstocks been substantially reinforced..
remains rumour, sorry, means 1.5y from now at best
Yeah, i love it. Looks very purposeful.
That's a cracking motorcycle and should be affordable for the masses,,grey one is fantastic,,a real world bike,, get it here ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Yeah saw that looking great. Your broadcast sounds 200% better with the new mics. All good
Glad to hear it!
Sound quality might be better, but the visual effect is terrible
The guerilla , the bear , and a new classic 650 , decisions , decisions !! R. E. Can’t put a foot wrong with their new bikes , I like ‘em all !
NOW, that is a nice looking motorcycle 👍😉 I really hope they bring that out over here ,espescially that blue and yellow colour scheme and red white and blue.
Looks a great rugged little beauty ❤️
Apparently, it will be launched in the European market on Tuesday.
R E certainly seem to have the knack of making AFFORDABLE bikes that are fun to ride, proper old skool stuff
All we can say is another great bike from RE. :)
Great looking bike! Love what they did with the engine.
Hey TMF! I'm liking that a lot! That's a definite road test.
It sure is!
Loving the look of this. An Aussie reviewer suggested he’d found a UK price of £7k. A direct translation into AUD makes that quite expensive for us over here. Will be really interesting to see how it rolls out. Great concept.
looks good, pipes in the past were called Siamese where there was a 2 into 1 system
Love 'em! Remind me of the old Triumph Adventurer I _so_ nearly bought. Yellow! ...no gray, definitely. Or yellow.
Great looking bike. With some nice colour schemes. Look forward to a full TMF review in the future.
Hope the shoulder is getting better.
Keep up the good work Andy.
Thank you, Matt.
To use an old term, that yellow/mustard scheme is a 'Buck Snorter'. Nice to see a manufacturer showing some flair again.
I will be getting one for sure .
This is the one i have been waiting for. RE has listened, a rare thing these days. They will sell thousands. Love colours.
Yes I reckon they'll fly off the shelves....if the price is right!
Well, I reckon that’s a winner looking really cool and I would love to see you test it out 👍
Another winner for RE. Not a luxurious ride like the Wing, but sure to get the attention of many. I like the splash of color added to the wheels that some of the bikes seem to have. Just enough to really stand out. 👍👍
I agree!
The Royal Enfield Bear popped up on my Facebook feed here in the USA yesterday. It was an advert from one of the local dealers (Throttle Company Columbus Ohio). Love the styling. Love the flat oval number board!
Definitely looks like business. Thanks for sharing.
Regulator / Rectifier repositioned to under the oil cooler!
Wow! Nice looking bike! I hope you get a chance to ride one and review it.
I’d love to see you on this bike. I should be doing my big boy licence before Christmas and I do like retro/scrambler bikes. Onward Mr flyer 👍
Best of luck Paul!
looks amazing - definitely going to have to get one.
Nice. It reminds me of the old Triuimph Scrambler, the 865cc air and oil cooled model. Which I liked too.
This bike is a good looker for sure. The enhanced torque n better sitting position will surely help. Good work RE 🎉
OMG I want one ….. looks fantastic
Looks good , Im with you on the grey one , lets hope it makes it way to your channel, your reviews are worth waiting for , 👍
Looks good think I need to try a Royal Enfield Thanks for the info
Very nice looking. Good overview
Thanks 👍
I would like to have a ride on that, love the look of it
Looks a stunning bike Andy like the yellow one with the blue seat 👍
Yes me too - in fact they all look rather nice....
Looks fantastic well done royal Enfield decent suspension oh which colour all look good
Can't wait for this to reach NZ. I'm keen for one 😍
Looks good can't wait to see you on it 👍
It looks really nice. Very Triumph-esque, but that's certainly not a bad thing and great option for those looking for a new bike at a decent price point.
Think it's my favourite RE to date, just looks right. Thank you...
I agree - I think it's their prettiest yet....
Nice bike. Very similar to the Triumph Scramblers.
This looks great - right up my street too. Thanks Andy. ..btw sure do like the sound and clarity of your new mike, it is worth the the $ in my opinion anyway although never anything wrong with old one I guess until this came along.
Thank you - glad you think that!
Great looking bike , nice colour choices 👍
I think so too!
Yes I think so too John...nice looking bit of kit - shame it's a bit higher and not a lot lighter....all about the pricing of course!
You have to admire RE for bringing out so many models based around their 650 engine, when it comes to marketing they really show the likes of BSA how it should be done.
Agreed - whatever happenned to BSA??
I've got rid of my GoldStar, nothing wrong with my particular bike but a company who reduces its prices by over 25% in a year don't deserve my support.
Absolutely love the look of this bike 😊
I saw it a few months ago and I recently saw a price in pounds of £6699!
Sounds about right. I understand it will be launched for the European market next week so I guess we’ll find out then.
Oooer, they're selling new Interceptors for £5000!
Good looking model. My friend manages a RE Dealership, he tells me they have recently sold a lot of new bikes.
I've been aware of this for a week or two via the socials. It looks very appealing and with the right accessories could be made into a nice adventure/touring rig. The RE OEM panniers look a bit skimpy capacity wise but no doubt there'll be plenty of aftermarket offerings along soon.

I have been at my RE dealers today. They are talking a look at the Bear next week at the Milan show and they hope to have it in stock in December.
Placed a preorder for the Two Four Nine colour yesterday.
Hopefully not at Colchester Kawasaki as they are closing
Not as glitzy as some of the others BUT I think that 1 appeals to me an all. It is pure, Traditional, true to the genre. Thats exactly how it would look back in the early 70`s. Possibly even chequered tape across the tank ? am getting carried away now arnt I 🤔
Oh bad news re Colchester Kawasaki - great guys, we bought Mrs Flyers Z650 RS there.....
@@flexywingno, a dealer closer to home.
@@mencewilkinson9625 Are you in the UK?
A great looking bike from RE yet again. Certainly interested in one of these if they bring it over here. RE, think you need to do a survey via your European dealerships pretty quick. Thank you Mr. Flyer for the heads up.
It’s coming on the 5th apparently (launched at EICMA)
Loving this bike...the 249 model (teal frame) is the one id have, cant wait to see one "in the flesh" ..yr sound is spot on now 👌
Thank you!
🤔 wonder which bits n bobs will fit my interceptor. My preference is something in the middle, a bearceptor perhaps. Will be looking out for the 2 into 1 headers and heat shield.
Like the shorty news flash presentation. Ride one
Smart looking bike, I quite like the yellow but the grey also looks very nice. Hopefully it gets released over here soon and we can have a proper look over it.
ATB, Dave
Golden Shadow is my fav color ❤❤❤ It looks amazing with those golden USD forks
Nice isn't it.....
The Dutch RE website has a counter, Bear 650 coming soon in 3d 13h
Yes launches in Europe on the 5th I now understand (RE PR people replied to my mail)
Petrol green is my favorite..,worry about heat with 2-1 but love mid controls
I like the yellow/blue one, not keen on grey/black, I do like the price. I do wish they’d bring out a 650 single engine for bikes like these, especially if the Classic it does surface in the future.

I have seen this here in Tasmania, not in the flesh as it isn't here yet. It's funny how a few tweeks can make the bike look just right. 😊
Agreed....
Best RE yet in my opinion
I’m not a big RE fan but that actually looks really good with some lovely colour schemes 👍
It’s been doing the promo thing around here but it’s not going to be available until February March of next year. It has upset Honda because of the CL500 not only is it better in every aspect but also cheaper. This is what a lot of people have been asking for.
Yes I think it’ll do very well…
Cracking looking bike!
Isn’t it!

Yes I agree 100% - myself included who spent another £8K on scramblerizing my Interceptor!
Hmmm W800 .... air cooled with a Bevel Drive camshaft 🤔a bit like a Manx Norton or a Desmo Ducati. Doesn't come much more retro than that 👍👍
Love to see more on this
Expect to hear a lot more about it on the 5th....

Looks good but wish the engine cases had the option to be alloy instead of black and where are the upswept exhaust
Itchy Boots will like this for future Adventures.👌
Too heavy for her.
IB needs a more dirt capable bike than this one.
My RE dealer Cooperb Motorcycles, have said it is incoming to them, so you won’t have to wait too long!
Who nicked the centre stand ? I like the looks of the bike and I could be tempted , but centre stand and luggage options would help 😁 .

Looks fabulous!
Doesn’t it!
Need to know more boss . I like the look of that .
Funnily enough, I just got an email from Royal Enfield, the official word is it’s being released at EICMA next week, I think on the fifth.
Love the green frame Bear. If only it had twin clocks and a high exhaust.
Beautiful 🤩 triumph must be worried in this present climate you get so much more for your money with the RE 😎👌
Plenty of news around about them and not on sale anywhere yet, brand new and official realease will be at EICMA
Don’t look bad that. Might look at one for a winter hack.
Sound system definitely better Andy.
Yes I'm pretty pleased with how it sounds now.....
There are a few videos of it in action and initial reviews floating about on the internet. It’s a road machine at the end of the day - too heavy for off roading I’d say. This releases at EICMA on Tuesday too…
Good looking bike...thanks for sharing
No problem 👍
