“We wake up with Ren, we have a good day!” Facts 😼 His vocal range and the different styles he’s able to use are fantastic. I love the coffeehouse vibe of this one. And I can’t believe the dog wasn’t a total distraction, but he was loving it!
And that is exactly why I love music and ren. As im walking to my spot to sleep for the night being homeless on the streets i can put on a feel good song and forget all my troubles.
The original song was written (by Sting) about a friend who was an eccentric English gay icon, Clinton Crisp, who moved to NY in his 70s. The song was released as a single in 1988. Nice reaction; agree that it seems these guys have fun with their covers. This song and Bongo Bongo are two favorites from them (vs others from the full Big Push full band)!
Funny you mention Ren being able to do like every character in an animation/cartoon. While not animated (I don't think), he says he wants to do a Netflix show along the lines of Black Mirror and already has 6 episodes written...... Hopefully Netflix is paying attention.
I've been working through your Ren and Big Push reactions, and enjoying them mightily. What I'm most struck by now is Ren's musical intelligence. The little quirks, the little surprises he inserts both vocally and instrumentally, are just phenomenal. I'm astonished at my luck to have stumbled across him earlier this year.
I've noticed (for instance) when he plays the guitar he might shrug his shoulder on a particular heavy note, just for emphasis. In I shot the Sheriff after a scat he just says "boom" as to change the direction of the vocal. I'm with you, the little quirks and surprises are very entertaining.
Your awesome thank you reaction I love ❤️ Ren keep staying sober week I’ll have 18 months clean off meth and alcohol and not homeless no more thank god have a blessed day ❤
Ha! Just woke up and thought I would check out a Ren reaction. Yours popped up and here I am starting the day right. This was great fun. I’m smiling. Thank you.
Sting's original of this was pretty big and got a lot of radio time back in the day. I don't remember dates well, but Wikipedia says it was released in October of 87, so maybe a little bit before you started listening to much music. I've seen at least Ren and Sam busk to Walking on the Moon, which was a Police song from 1979 so there is a definite influence there. Another great reaction, Thanks.
There are a few Big Push behind the scenes videos that are pretty funny, perhaps worth adding to your reactions? Not many people have reacted to them yet. There are also a couple short interviews from a few years back scattered around the internet that are interesting & silly. 😺💜
It's Sting. I get it. I am stupid. Obviously don't listen to a ton of Sting
I never get the Pinky blinders reference so obviously I don’t watch that. 🙂
@@arklilbro Do yourself a favor
What cracks me up is Ren's Welsh

Nice reaction! Try Ren in Dignity
Yes! Great song plus I love that the video is a behind the scenes look into the life/career of The Big Push.

Freshman year of college! I was a huge Police fan. Sting’s first two albums were legendary.
Another great reaction Zack 👍 going to give that film you mentioned a watch, love a good laugh!

Dog looks like a - Jack Russell
It is most definitely a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Lol it’s a staffy 😂
I prefer to Stings original. But when Sting wrote it I wonder if could see a future, TAKES MORE THAN A LICENCE TO A GUN, TO MAKE A MAN .
Better than Sting, I reckon! ❤
