Maturity is not about the amount of knowledge you have or the actions you display. It’s being able to respond immediately to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, especially when it goes against the craving of the flesh.

One of the biggest ones was "When He doesn't take away the " thorn " can I still be on task ? " That " thorn " grabs my ENTIRE focus .

This sermon truly spoke to my heart and my spirit. I had made a commitment to do a function for the seniors Ministry but then someone had mentioned that a group was going to the beach on the same day. I said I was going to go to the beach. Later on I made the right decision to honor my commitment first to God and then to the Seniors Ministry. The beach will be there but I may not always have an opportunity to be a blessing to someone else.

This was so good! The part about your heart's desires being on hold due to other missions/responsibilities. I've been wrestling with this for a while with motherhood and past creative hobbies. I was confused because I tried to put the desire away and refocus without resentment. I was frustratingly asking, "God didn't you give me these gifts?" Thank you so so much for speaking on this! I am learning to find contentment in the Lord instead of my circumstances and timelines.

This is a hard sermon for me. In my head I know it’s true, but I feel brokenhearted more often than not and I’m confused about what’s happening most of the time and, like you said, I have to check my heart because it has hardened because of the disappointments

Lord this just read me today lol but the message is right on time.

I knew in my heart that this is what God has been asking. 15 years of waiting, at the end of it’s possible, God is asking me to lay it down over and over even though everyone says says pick it up or it won’t be possible anymore. Ms Jada, thank you for your maturity, I needed this word, not because I didn't know it but because it's uncommon to hear. It's subjectively empowering but objectively weird to growup/ mature in this journey with Jesus.
Growing in God is isolating and can be (dare I say, seeminly) depressing, ask God to die, like Elijah running away from Jezebel 1st kings 19.
The isolation is for reflection and growth, dying not to life but to self,.....so next time we are tempted to ask God dumb childish questions like Elijah, let's begin to self reflect and cut of/ mortify self/flesh deeds.
I'm so guilty, but as I said the words you spoke directed my indirection....Woman of God thank you.

I'm happy I saw this so I can tell the truth and say....after 20 plus years of lies slander and harassment by people everyone holds in high regard, I think I missed out on growing up. I think I was too busy doing nothing but looking around at the mess I was living under. Not anymore. I sincerely believe you can be a Christian and saved and speaking with tongues enjoying joyful dancing and singing and making merry. Laughter doeth good like medicine. I refuse to be starched stiff and boring and too afraid to enjoy life lest someone judges me to not be serious about my relationship to the Lord. There's a reason pastors and preachers don't get turned up bcuz they have to stay in serious mode most of the time. They have a loaded job. Understandable. I go months without listening to my favorite gospel rnb artist. Sometimes after a long dry journey, I pop in a sound and encourage myself again. But I'm like those tigers who go to drink water, and still be on the lookout. The lively revelation knowledge I get from my pastors is the best! So I live by the faith of Jesus and still believe to see the goodness of God in the land of the living 🩷 with some jams in betw.

THIS message right here was JUST what I needed bc I’ve been praying about some things I had been wanting and was a little confused about why either the time period or just wondering if it was the Lord’s will. It’s like I knew that it’s God’s way that is best and that it’s not always what we want, or think we want, but it was so good to hear it with this much clarity and Biblical examples.
