I did know what a berth was...it can also mean the place where a ship docks or a fixed sleeping place on a ship or train...Stumping is a popular term in the South so I was also familiar with that word!!!
I always look up the words when they are new to me. The show has helped me learn new words all the time. I could see Arthur coming back. Jerome could possibly go to jail because in S8, Henry gave Bill a list of names who were involved in the mine. I'm sure Jerome's name was top of the list. In S6 Bill found the letter where Henry had concerns about the mine only to have it disregarded by Smith. I am not sure who would be mayor. Fiona in my opinion doesn't have enough concern for everyone to be a good mayor. When Mike game back the biggest news she had to tell was Ned's invention. The mine being blown up was a more important thing to begin with because that affected the town. Arthur may help with the newspaper because of Rosemary's pregnancy. I could see Fiona and Mike working together to build the oil company. So many possibilities of where S10 could go.
As far as who will be mayor, I have pondered that question. We know that Bill left and Hickam stepped down...Who was the runner up in the election?? Lee?? Not sure he would still want to take it on at this point in time. I don't really see Lucas being interested in it even though I have seen people put his name out there. He is trying to cut back on work and find a true purpose for his life moving forward and being mayor would take more of his time than I feel he is willing to give up. I just have no clue which way they will go with that.
@@EverythingAboutHallmark I suppose it depends on what Fiona's role will be with the oil company. I think between operating 2 businesses and all his inventions Ned might be too busy!!
@@margiemijares5533 They are all too busy. Bill is the judge, helped run the cafe, and a forensic investigator and he was mayor. They are superhumans. 😂 🦸♀️
So many questions about season 10! I think Bill will return and will be the next Mayor. I would love to have Abigail return, but I don't think it will happen next season. I do agree that Bill is juggling too many balls, and if he officially becomes mayor he should retire from his "Inspector" position, and this could create an opportunity for Nathan to be promoted and perhaps train a young cadet(Robert?). Yes, to a bigger storyline for Fiona!
Bill actually was made a Judge in Season 6.He is also a lawyer. He is the town father figure. If Bill had a Romance he would be not be a Judge/Lawyer and Inspector Mountie. Minnie and Joesph did purchase Abigail half of Abigail Cafe. Bill owns the other half still.
I don't think we'll see Smith back in Hope Valley in person or Arthur Ghilchrist the Henry trial will probably take place off screen and his acquittal will start season 10 off with Henry searching for a new purpose to his redemption, Bill will be Mayor but faces having to give up his Judgeship and or Mounties Forensic duties per health concerns but Molly finds her calling in helping Bill run the town-They become the un-Official First Couple of Hope Valley, I'm curious to see how Minnie/Joseph/Elizabeth navigate being responsible for Anna we might see some young adult situations that are tricky for a teenage single young woman- ?? So many possibilities for some great story telling in Season 10 can't wait
@@EverythingAboutHallmark yes I am especially in historical novels curious who wrote those terms and if that same writer uses other phrases of that time period for an intentional reference or if it was a happy coincidence-great question for Derek or Allie ?? I've already started dreaming up possible Anna story lines that I'd like to see happen her character has the potential to really grow now that she's basically on her own & having her deal with that responsibility could be very interesting
I have wondered also and am glad Roxanne did her usual great job w/ this. My thoughts go along w/ Margie’s at this point. Although Bill is experienced he is obviously not in any shape to take that on. I was wondering about Lee but with the baby, paper & other things I don’t think he would. Lucas too is a possibility but with all the business stuff he has and his commitment to Elizabeth plus planning a wedding, ah no for him. That leaves Fiona from the original group (also busy but losing her oil company job & w/ a big storyline ahead. They could bring in someone new or a different townsperson but I am clueless who. Like the vocab idea teacher! And yes I knew the words. I tend to think of “berth” related to ship travel! “Stump” I knew and have heard thrown around near election time. “Sticky “ had crossed my mind though everyone knows it but it connects w/ other storylines. Well there certainly seem to be a few “sticky” situations to be resolved in our beloved town !

Hi. Thanks.
Yes, I knew it referred most likely to a part of a train compartment.
Yes, berth being the sleeping compartment on a train.
A plus

Jack Wagner who plays Bill posted to Social Media.

@@gpamelac correct yes he is. I chatted with his manger right before he left. Not sure why you posted this. Do you have a question?

It would be great to have Lori come back. She was a terrific mayor and would be again.
I think Bill will be Mayor again. He’s back and apparently healthy.

We don't know which episode he returns in. We know he is there filming but when does he return??
