Nice hands man. Although, I’m confused on why high schoolers are always the ones giving “helpful” tips on auditions videos as if they are the staff looking at this 😂
I can’t imagine how much your forearms hurt after doing that rudiment sheet at two different tempos. Your chops inspire the fuck outta me. At the very least you’ll get a callback bro
Good luck man, I have all the music and stuff and I planned to audition this year but don't have the time. So imma keep grinding and cleaning up for next
Some of the best advice I ever got on the “multiple bounce” strokes like 2-4s etc (like in the rudiment sheet near the end) was to quit trying so hard to play the notes and just hang on to the “push” a little bit longer. Just when you think it’s time to close up that hand space and move on, hang on a little longer. Sounding fantastic dude, you 100% have a shot at making the line. Keep getting after it 🤝🏻
Nice job man. Did you play on a tilt? Your left hand likes to creep up and it makes that stick sound dead as not the whole face of the bead hits the drum like you’re right. Other than that, you’re solid.
Thanks! Yeah, I've noticed that problem too. My left hand platform is really high. It used to be way too flat and now to fix that I have unfortunately over compensated for it. I'm working on it now though!
I gotchu with the free version but its a little messed up around 1000000 eight notes, 10 quarter notes, like 200000000 16ths, at least 5 fivelets, and a good bit of 6 and 7lets, Lmk if u need any help!!
@@kerrychen3015 as someone who bought the audition packet (with no intent of auditioning i just wanted the warmups, maybe next year) this is very accurate
this is actually super super clean but you should definitely work on keeping those grace notes down on the flams you’re prepping the grace note and it’s causing your flams to sound a little like double stops
All the stickings are super duper tight and your hands look nice, just make sure youre checking out the met more frequently. some moments in there you let the met get a little in front of you, but your hands and sound quality is heat bro 🔥🔥🔥
@@ericm9407 for example just because I can’t play flam drags at 170 BPM doesn’t mean I can’t hear someone playing that same exercise out of tempo. What you said does make sense. But because my hands cant do that means my ears can’t hear that either? That logically doesn’t make any sense
The main thing i noticed was timing especially in the slower tempos. If you go back and listen to your flam taps and the hand-to-hand flams that's where the time fluctuating is most noticeable. One other observation flam quality at the end of the exercise versus at the beginning. The longer the exercise, the flatter the flams (specifically on the left hand). Overall, this is really good! Cleaning up some of those little things will take you from good to great.
Very minor inconsistencies here and there on some of attacks and left hand transitions. That rudiment sheet is old school and meaty and takes chops to play top to bottom, you killed those dachadda variations! Solid playing and love that snare tuning, hope you get to march somewhere next summer if not Boston.
Thank you for the feedback! Those inconsistencies are something I’ve been really focusing on in my practice in the last month (specifically in drop catch and flam control/flam builders). I was fortunate enough to receive a callback so we’ll see what happens!

I’m saying 😂
So clean. Great work man, really impressive.
Thank you!
cool lick at the end
ikr, I wonder who wrote it

hahaha thank you man
Have fun marching with the Boston Crusaders. Because, based on this video, I think you will make it! Enjoy the season and keep it up!
Hahahaha thanks man
I'm a Boston alumni member who wants to welcome you to the corps and I wish you all the best and I hope to see you sometime this summer
Dayumm bro very nice chops🔥greetings from Panama man🇵🇦👊🏽
Rudiment sheet sounds really good. Well done!

I thoroughly enjoyed that . Respect !!

clean threes!
Is reds, spanks, dig-gits, etc not in the packet anymore?
They are, they just weren't part of the video audition. We played them at callbacks though
very nice drum
This is so damn clean. Good luck bro, BAC 🔛🔝❤
✅
Where do they sell those kinds of drums? Have I counted the price?
Did you make it???
love it
Where can I find the sheet music for this?

Came here to say this. As someone who's gotten several lessons from Jovanna, keeping the grace notes down and low is crucial to making this line.

saw your videos.... you certainly aren't in the position to give critiques
