I love crafty tips like that this that use normally non-musical features in a musical way. Thanks for sharing!

Very cool. Leaving Studio One after more than a decade and jumping headfirst into Live. These kids of hacks/tips/workflows are super helpful. In appreciation.

All you need then is good taste! I think that even with this much random involvement, I think that the technique is going to tire if it is used too often but what a great boost to a track. Judicious re ordering of events, a bit of space or maybe modulation. Very easy. Thank you!

I have done a similar thing in Reason load up a bunch of random sounds into a sampler and then record draging the mouse up down the sequencer piano roll. This cant be done in Ableton because you cant click on the sequencer key image at the left side, maby you should add that.

i'm dumb. still haven't cracked how to use loopback with my babyface pro and the mixer soft :( can route ins/outs but loopback never works sigh.

Have to admit I was sceptical, but the results are very cool! This would take ages via usual note programming.

Well in Reason you can record draging your mouse along the piano in the sequencer, playing random drum sounds like this.
