First story: Human determination and Alien pride! Second story: Aliens go insane after finding out that humans are in constant pain, but they just don't care.
Bro my nervous system is so fucked bc of my disability and anime tier tragic childhood that I’m willing to bet that it’ll only take a few seconds in my head or body before they collapse
For the second story, imagine what would happen if they merged minds with a human in actual pain such as surgery without anesthesic... (Or the process of having local anesthetic injected)
Ah yes like the infamous Dr. Robert Liston who once had a 300% mortality rate on a simple surgery. Yes, 300%! He was the fastest surgeon of his time and that's before anesthetic was invented. He Amputated the patient's leg properly, accidentally chopped an assistant's fingers off and nicked a random spectator's coattails. The Patient and Assistant died of infection and the spectator died of fright.
For story two. Here are the WORST case scenarios. 1. Enter woman giving birth. 2. Enter man passing kidney stone. (Honorable mention) Guy getting hit in the nuts with a 100 MPH fast ball.
Your two options are neither worst case scenarios. The REAL worst case scenario: enter a woman giving birth AND while passing a kidney stone at the same time.
My knees down felt like they where on fire while working last night. Any time I got off my feet a new spike of pure agony washed over me but then slowly faded away. Even now my ankle still hurts.
There is a condition, where all of the pain centers on one side of the brain, are activated 100%, and the sufferer can feel no more pain, as he is maxed out. The condition last from 15 minutes to three hours, or so. Kind of a distant cousin to epilepsy. Read that poor bastards mind. It is called Cluster Headaches. Pretty rare condition.
Yeah, cluster headaches are one of the few conditions that rival nor exceeds the pain of childbirth. The onset of the pain can go from nothing to exceeding tolerance in less than five minutes and maintain that level for hours at a time, multiple times per day. The pain is quite literally so bad, that hitting oneself in the head with a meat tenderizer repeatedly actually feels like paradise by comparison. Occasionally, a person can go into system shock from the rapidity of onset of the amount of pain. Fortunately there are a couple of medications that can work in near fully alleviating the pain within a minute.
@@OverstuffedDragon Look at the price of medication. Only option for most is a subcutaneous shot of Imitrex, at North of $70 USD, and can only take two in 24 hours. During a time when they are being attacked 6 to 10 times a day. There are a lot of suicides in that group of people.
@@kirkjones9639 Yep, Imitrex is probably the lead medication for treating Cluster headaches. Have had to use myself and been fortunate that after 2 or 3 uses the cycle breaks for upwards of a month and a half. Definitely a condition with a high rate of suicides. Doubly so if uninsured and unable to afford any medication for the condition.
Ah, so thats what my normal headaches are called. Cluster headaches, where the most merciful thing there is, is to stop almost all higher thought beyond basic logical reasoning & instinct. Resulting in what can be simply discribed as "No thoughts, head empty". Just to make as many resources avaliable as possible, to resist the pain. To resist the urge to hurt oneself to distract from the extreme pain that is, my normal headache. Like right now.
F the algorithm. The soldier got up from his chair, unaware he was surrounded by infiltrators. Both of his knees popped with a loud *CRACK-THUNK!* "Ahh- there it goes.." The soldier said as he walked away. The infiltrators lay on the ground, catatonic over what they just sensed.
Perfect timing for the second story! I just spent five hours in the fetal position in utter agony from crps (feels like you are on fire) and it's now calming down enough to listen to videos. That story made me smile!
@@GodoStory Given the f*ckery yesterday that might not be completely unwarranted 😏 especially since UA-cams automated systems screw smaller creators all the time and UA-cam never admits to any fault in their systems, or apologize for the inconvenience, and seem to help quickly only when it happens to big creators... Maybe that is why they committed suicide??? They do seem squishy with their nervous systems after all, So they are mentally unprepared for the daily pains of mankind.

Humans tend to have a very high pain tolerance. What's a minor ache to us could be agonizing pain to this alien species. When they linked up with the IT department's minds, they felt everything they felt. But they didn't have the same level of pain tolerance as humans, so they broke, all because someone had carpal tunnel.
Indeed a fair number of people live in constant pain from many occupations and as long as focused thought is not surpassed by the pain they will keep trucking along.
