I think you are correct in saying that one great way of getting out of the blues of a dark rainy day or two, is to go to the butcher and get a prime filet mignon and fire that Blackstone up and make an epic steak sandwich like you did. I just used that black stone seasoning the other day and it is awesome. The sauce looked awesome as well. I have actually cooked on my Blackstone. I believe two or three weeks in a row, but haven’t put it up on my channel yet. Take care of yourself out there in South Florida and hope you have a great Easter weekend.
Several years ago my devout Catholic mom called me on Good Friday. She asked me what I was doing. I replied that’s I was grilling filet mignon, because I was. She said; “Only a dog would eat meat on Good Friday!” I said; “Woof Woof!” Then she hung up on me. She didn’t speak to me till after Easter that year. Oh well, I would eat that filet mignon sandwich today or any other day of the year. Good video Sal!
Memories of ye olde Hungry Farmer (restaurant...575 Garden of the gutz rd. Colo Spgs) come flooding back. We did something very, very similar with Filet Mignon back in the day... Sure do miss that place... and the people who worked there. This video is like a time machine. I can almost taste the awesome flavors!
Sal,your sandwich was fantastic! Put all mine into second place for sure. Those onions and crimini's were perfection! Rare filet on the sammy, for sure, spot on. What a happy meal for consecutive rains bringing you down, buddy! You did this right. Nice sauce too, and the swiss cheese was just right for this. Loved it! Now I wanna make one. Thanks for sharing!
I shouldn't have watched this today after work while drinking a beer and Starving! Wow...I'd drink that beer and devour that awesome filet sandwich right now!
