"Six fingers and 3 f'kng eyes" .... lol. 😂 So true. Martyn, we can always count on your honesty. That's one of the many reasons we appreciate you. ❤ Thank you for this video.
What they don’t realize is, a lot of Tarot readers are also artists. We are not going to support the erasure of our industry and our livelihoods. As an artist and Tarot reader myself, I’m very disappointed. Not only is AI art taking the work of artists without their consent or compensation, it actually destroys creativity. People are too lazy and cheap to work through the process of brainstorming concepts and hiring an artist to render them. I could go on, but I agree, AI art is wrong on so many levels.
On a related note there is an article that seems to have gone under the radar about Universal Music signing a deal to train AI to make ultra high fidelity vocal models of their artists. They can now put out new music without their artists being involved at all, but the label says of course they wouldn't do that. I remember David Grohl going on a rant about the death of human creativity but maybe he was right.
@@tobykai6 They had better not. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are retroactive laws created in the future that force companies to compensate artists for the use of their voice and art.
The main issue with AI is that it's already here, It's not something about the future. I'm from the generation when you had to take the photo roll film to have them revealed, and when a cell phone was something new and it was just for phoning, and there were no electronic toothbrushes, etc. Everything changed (not for good, in my opinion), and the same is going to happen with AI. There are interests on it by certain people (look for automatic driving cars in a near future... 🥲 that will steal away from us the pleasure of driving the car) and it's already happening to the Tarot sphere. In a not too distant future AI will also make tarot readings so we will be redundant, and there will not be a need for learning how to read the tarot, because you will always have a free app who will give the message to you and thus you will be cool and part of the group and so on... So no, I'm not optimistic about our future in the tarot community, I mean everyone, artists, readers, schools,..., possibly in the long run even for publishers, as the apps will make them unnecessary. Thank you for the video, Martyn.😀
Same age group, same concerns. And AI readings already happen. On the other hand I also notice more and more people want the face to face readings again. They don't trust online readings anymore, even phone readings. They want the real thing and a human encounter...in the real world.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Martyn - particularly the fact that they deleted comments. I have no interest in supporting a company that would erase the comments and opinions of the community it claims to serve. Bad enough they've jumped on the AI bandwagon.
