I had an opportunity to travel with Doc McKenzie, The Truthettes, & Tommy Ellison on a 3 day tour in the early 90s down to Jacksonville, Pompano Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida while I was a teenager. It was a blessing getting to know Tommy & the Sing Stars up close and personal. I got to interact with them in church, backstage, at the hotel & by the pool. They were really good guys. Keep on posting.

I met Tommy back in 1970, and at that time the group was Tommy, Billy Hardie, Sam Williams, his brother, Sam Moses [keyboards], and the manager was Charlie Baker. Perry Taft was just beginning to sing with them. Tommy had me work with them when he was arranging this song "I'm not the Same Person". I actually liked the original arrangement better than this performance of it, though.
