I stumbled on your videos a few years ago. I keep coming back because I just dig your musical style and the way you get the most of of each piece you've got.
Hey Todd. I would actually like to thank you for your channel. I love and enjoy your channel. I've been tuning in for the last few years since you only had a few thousand subs. Congrats for reaching over 15,000 subs. Everytime your videos pop up in my notifications, I tune in. You have great music. I respect your opinions and that's why I'm always here. Keep bringing it. We are all here for you. Again, thank you. 👍👍👍👍👍
I appreciate that! That's long term support and you have countless other options. Really means a lot, things will only get better from here I can promise that for sure.
Hey Todd. You're a genuine guy and that comes across in your videos. What you say is absolutely right. I know you're not a Behringer "shill" - they don't give gear away for positive reviews like a lot of other manufacturers do with certain other creators that I won't mention - we all know who they are. You don't have an axe to grind and it's nice to see you enjoying your gear and sharing your art. A lot of the shill channels don't do that - they just push the gear and are basically salesmen. You aren't smug or condescending like a lot of them are and don't try to make people feel belittled if they can't afford to buy the latest overpriced thing that these guys have either been given, or got for cheap themselves. I genuinely look forward to your vids, however long or short they are as I know they will have either some cool music, interesting updates or both. I'm also looking forward to seeing your continuing journey for the coming years. Good luck with the new job - I hope it works out well. You must be all in for it judging by the new haircut 😉 Take it easy mate, ignore the turds and keep on keepin on! Oh, and I hope Bird is OK 😀 Peace Brother ✌️
I'll be dropping my face more often very soon. I've been a "faceless" channel for a bit. Which works but I feel my visual vibe adds another layer which feels honest. Thank you for the long term support, you have endless other choices in today's world and you still stop by here all the time. Stay safe my friend !
Thank Todd for your channel, your news and your music! The funny thing is that on all these little non-monetized synth channels, there are still ads displayed by YT. Where do the profits go? Surely redistributed to the big YT channels, which are monetized, and which also talk about gear they didn't buy. In a way, the big channels benefit from all those small channels they criticize from time to time. I prefer the smaller channels anyway, because their opinion isn't biased, as you said. We bought our synths, so we had to make compromises and look for the best value for money. Of course, it's easier to like a Prophet-5 than a Pro-800 when it costs 0 cents. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Love the jams and the news. Behringer seems to spread their news everywhere, though mostly on Facebook, so it is great to have a "news aggregator" of sorts.
Your electronic sonic contributions have infused a shadowy depth into the world, and I wanted to seize this moment to convey my profound appreciation for the enigmatic inspiration you've provided. Your songs are an elusive treasure, and I'm genuinely grateful for the mysterious enchantment you bring into our lives.
Playing a Behringer next to the real thing was eye-opening to me. The real thing just sounds like the real thing. Behringer is still an excellent value for what you get. My pro 800 is a go-to Analog, poly synth in my set up. And the rd8 is a great substitute for an 808. Amazing value.
That's fair, but I would add one aside: the "real thing" is often four-to-five decades old, whereas the Behringers are not. Age changes the sound, so too does replacing parts, and as everyone knows, electronics do not improve with time and use.
Congratulations, Todd, for hitting 15,000, it is well earned. This is a great channel. I'm fine with Behringer triggering stupid people with too much money and time on their hands.
I like Todd's attitude, music and down to earth attitude. I like Behringer stuff too, which is another reason to like this channel. I've owned a real classic Micromoog, but my Behringer Model D sounds much better. The Micromoog was a lower cost Moog made between '75 and '79. It has been on some classic tracks, Kraftwerk used it apparently at one stage. But its a 1 OSC synth (ok with a great mod matrix) but that one OSC is very stable- too stable to sound very rich IMO. Good for bass perhaps but a bit boring. The Model D sounds just like a Mini, very fat and warm.
It's so nice that you're never part of the tedious launch-day BS. The bungled WaveState launch was the last straw for me (is the WaveState really just a one-trick pads synth?). I'm more interested in what gear can do once everyday people have experimented and explored. No way was Acid a selling point when the TB-303 was launched! 😂
You've supported me for a long time now, thank you. That really means a lot. I'm most def not in the "launch day" loop at all, lol. You stay safe my friend.
Hey Todd I totally enjoy your Channel stay you stay positive don't worry about those people calling you a shill we all know if you was a sure you would have liked racks and walls of Behringer gear who cares about those haters I love the music you make keep it up and stay positive man thank you for your content
Thanks for the work you put into channel this and sharing your experience! I like hearing your honest opinion on gear you bought and checking out the stuff you make with it and how you dive deep on more complex pieces. I found your channel from your synth news videos and really like those quick updates as well!
Thank *you* for putting the effort and spending your own money to create these videos. Some of the UA-cam channels I've subscribed to are more like marketing agencies now, just spamming ads for new synths and effects, so I'm slowly unsubscribing from those. I'm fed up with being enticed to buy new expensive gear every day.
I might buy gear like a normal "working" gear addict but it's nothing like the channels who get early access. I tend to get stuff later down the road, used. =)
ESQ can't be turned on till battery change. It's starting to drop voices and I think it's because of the battery, it's got a warning I kinda slept on for a bit. You'll see the SD-1 in videos in the near future
@@toddsmithmusic3172 Right on man best of luck with the ESQ. I have an SQ-80 sitting that I need to get fixed up. It powers up just fine but no sound at all other than the metronome in the sequencer...
@@toddsmithmusic3172 BTW got the Pro 800 a couple weeks ago, and MAN that thing is AMAZING. For anyone wanting to get into synths, especially analog, for $399 I don't know that there is a better value out there. The output is REALLY low from the line, but otherwise, the thing is KILLER, and has memory to boot! Amazing machine!
I disagree with your Behringer opinions and I don't believe some of your criticism if other UA-camrs motivations, but I do respect the philosophy of your channel.

Thanks for being Todd Smith. I appreciate your honest take on gear. Hope to see many more videos from you in the years ahead.

Love the channel. Hey, Behringer makes affordable synths that sound great. Nothing wrong with that if you're a musician on a budget.
I shall just simply say that your channel is awesome and love your Behringer updates!
Much appreciated!
Keep up the good work man! Love the EBM jams
More to come! I promise that and the sound will be better than ever too. Things are moving forward from here my friend. Thank you for the support

TSM. You're the best and I really like your grooves and your content. Keep doing what you're doing and keep on grooving. Also, Go Behringer!!

Todd, I think if you get a boob job and buy some bunny ears, you'll get faster channel growth!
100% viral at that point.
Nice post!
keep up the great work :)

I just state my views. In the end you’re 100% welcome to your own opinion formed from what you experience. Have a good day.
When did the hair come off Todd?
A few months ago. I do it ever once in awhile and let it grow back fresh.
