Here's Part 2, featuring 30 more things from Super Mario World that are missing from SMM2!

Don't miss the 50th missing thing (and outro!) at 7:44
Can You Do SMB, SMB3, NSMBU, And SM3DW Next?
Wait how did you cover the previous text from Yoshi?
わ
Sorry, but they could use that to swear! Otherwise, I love it!
@@inspectorplayer9437 just some editing and or mods
Man, the Triangular Block would've been great (imagine running on walls in Mario Maker 2, seriously).
Bruh I said that
Mario Maker 3...
Super Mario Advance 4 did some crazy things with that on the e-reader levels
i agree
Even better if you could rotate them 4 directions.
This is definitely a good list of things they should add, it sucks that Nintendo kinda just left the game and stopped the big updates so early in its lifetime
We totally agree!
Agreed. I imagine it could have lead to a battle royale in the Mario Odyssey engine with Mario Maker abilities on-hand and they would have called it Mushroom Kingdom Royale.
Well, don't forget. The video read "Final MAJOR Update." And the Theme Selector also says "Extra Game STYLES" not Style, StyleS!
@@furret1907 It's been nearly 1 year, and no new updates were made ever since.
True but the last update was pretty big. Would love more but still got more than moneys worth with the content.
The text was very well-animated. 100/10 good job
I agree it’s pretty spot on!
Some of these stuff i would really like to see in SMM2. Some of them seem like they would be very useful for puzzle or multiplayer levels! Also, loved that detail on 2:15! Once again, giving a lot of attention to details! Very good video, Looygi!
Little Timmy is gonna love charge n' chucks!
I don't know if Nintendo will add all the variants...
Oh yeah stack a Bowser on it, challenging boss(adds dev block
Oh got not little timmy
Hi. i know you
Ariel Reznikov oh yeah I remember you too from that Sonic the Hedgehog prototype video!
5:11 insert sad Ceave Gaming noises
Yeah
The one that I want the most is definitely the message blocks
Yeah, I'd like them too... But of course there'd be people who'd write swear words, and Nintendo really wouldn't like that
@@flapjack2330 People can write swear words in comments and make them out of blocks or coins. Message block will be really useful for telling players what they should do if there is arean in a level requiring certain action.
@@jacekpietrzak445 The bigger problem with Message Blocks is if your playing levels from other countries. For example, imagine your playing a very complex level that uses a lot of message blocks for hints, but all the messages are in German, making the level a lot less fun.
@@cutiefriendsadventures7129 So we all should write in English. This is the language most of us, that are not from English speaking countries, know at least to some extent as we are/were teached it in schools.
Asian people don't seem to care when they put level names and descriptions in their languages using their "letters".
This is probably one of the best 2D Mario platformers out there because of how gimmicky it is and how much it messes around and experiments with well-known items to create all sorts of unimaginable crazy contraptions, enemies and boss fights that probably wouldn't fit into the more recent games. Not to mention the sheer amount of easter eggs and secrets, as well as Yoshi power-ups. A lot of course parts and moveset properties in Mario Maker originated from this game, imagine the possibilities if they added all of these things and more to it. Overall, this is my favourite Mario game on the SNES.
P.S. Technically the Bubbles did return in SMM2 but just in Multiplayer (respawned characters in local Co-Op, Clear Conditions in Versus and Keys in all modes)
Seriously though, it’s why SMW is one of my favorite games of all time.
Mario run has some of these like fishing boo
I love all of the creative text things
Me too
Me toooo
Same.
Same
Same
Oh gosh there are SO MANY THINGS
(To be clear I’m pretty satisfied with what we have in SMM2, but it would be awesome to have all the SMW tools)
Try Lunar Magic
Super Mario Maker 1 and 2 are both missing a lot of stuff for every style.
The sequel: recreating 50 missing things in Mario Maker?
The Message Block would’ve been so cool.
People would've written... "Bad" things though haha
yes, nintendo does in fact need to shove message blocks up their changelogs.
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699 comments exist
Yeah, it sucks writing with coins
@@AyeeSecret Comments do exist, but many people turn them off.
Some of these things really should have been included already! Like the blue and yellow Koopas (obviously in all the other gamestyles too) and Chargin' Chucks (obviously in 3D World too)
Hopefully the inevitable Super Mario Maker 3 will correct all of these things...
And considering how huge of an improvement Super Mario Maker 2 is to the first one, and how much room there still is...
No no no! Please don't predict Super Mario Maker 3!
5:10 Ceave wants to know your location.
To thank you actually.
Hoo Ray
To find his location is actually suprisingly simple
So much of this stuff is amazing. Super disappointing it isn't available in Mario Maker.
Things SMM2 missed: Everything in Super Mario World
I think the bubbles would be a cool modifier for almost all course elements, like wings or the parachute
Imagine a Cowboy Bebop level in MM2 with a Message Block at the end with "See you, space cowboy" inside
Pure love 😍😍
Nobody understands your reference
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699 Only a small élite
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699 I do.
How some of these would work in-game:
The Stake is an alternate version of the Skewer, as is the crusher from Iggy's Castle.
Moving Terrain would be called the Moving Block, and would have different designs depending on the theme (e.g. yellow stone in the Underground theme). Its movement could be controlled via global settings, or it could be placed on a Track.
*That's one of the things I always criticized about Nintendo and their Mario Maker game* (from the day it was created, I like it but I always saw it as a Happy Wheels but Mario version... made in a very simple and understandable way for everyone)
*They have a million items from their universe to add and are stingy on the items they add...* the last update was years ago and they only added a few hats and the odd new outfit... *to give you an idea of how little they add, go to see the amount of options, enemies and items that fangames have like SMBX (the best Mario editor there is) or Mario Multiverse... (which is like a Mario Maker but with more options and you can switch between different versions of Mario such as Mario Land, New Mario DS and other non-Mario games)*
(It is obvious because they do not add so many things, to do it later, drop by drop so the game does not stop being relevant, it is understandable that they want to extend it but it costs them nothing to add Chargin Chuck or the Rexes in an update (they are not even enemies very complex to program)...
I completely agree. Why can't they add all the enemies and stuff from each game Style. Even if they only put it in the game they originally came from. I would of been so happy. SMBX is the best mario editor I ever played. It just had so much items enemies that I would play it more over mario maker.
Im surprised that Ive grown with Super Mario World specifically, seems like an ordinary game but comparing to some other mario games - it feels like the golden middle of the series
As much as I love Mario maker 2! Really wish we have Rexes, Swoopers, Grab Blocks, Roulette Blocks, Dolphins, Eeries, and Diagonal Platforms in Mario Maker 2! These were some of the things I wanted the most, I just hope we get potential DLC for Mario Maker 2! Heck I even thought Bubbles would be a no brainer to add in Mario Maker.
Also never even realized how many things were not in the Mario World style
Too many things are missing in my opinion. That's why I prefer using a good level editor over Mario Maker
Even though #46 Moving Terrain isn’t in the game as a course part, Keine has found a way to get around that. Here’s a playlist of six of her levels, most of which involve recreating Layer 2 stuff in SMM2!
ua-cam.com/play/PLzMB4LlBfKfuyXQeaA3XltUe4QiSDjzOi.html
What about yellow Koopas and lava in underground stages? That would be awesome too!
It's surprising how many things from the original SMW are missing from the SMW style in SMM2. Many of them are things that are used less often, so you don't notice their absence. But there are a lot of very common things in the original game as well, that you might not notice got left out of SMM2. It just goes to show how well Nintendo was able to capture the classic feel of SMW while leaving out so many of that game's fixtures, presumably in the name of memory space.
How these could be implemented:
Rotating lift
It be a type of lift, by holding down on the lift in the editor this would be one of the slopes, but there should be 2 options: one that is affected by gravity (From SMW) and one that isn’t (Seen in other games). You should be able to adjust how far both lifts go
Bullet Bill Cannon Block
Just change the minimum Bullet Bill cannon height to 1
Baby Yoshi
Could be one of the options for the Yoshi egg
Grab Block
Hold down on the brick block or hard block in the editor
Mega Mole (Not to be confused with Morty Moles from SM3DL)
Hold down on the monty mole in the editor and it would be an option (It wouldn’t be from giving a monty mole a mushroom since big monty moles are already in the game and that could ruin levels)
Blue Koopa
Another type of Koopa, along with Yellow Koopa
Boo Buddy Snake
Hold down on Boo in the editor
Bubble
It would be its own item, likely in the Gizmos section
Ball-N-Chain
Hold down on the saw in the editor
Chargin’ Chuck
Hold down on hammer bro in the editor
Coin snake
Hold down on the snake block in the editor or hold down on the coin in the editor, it would be an image of a coin trail, and the coin snake path would be controlled similar to how snake blocks are controlled, if it’s not in an item block or brick block, it would be a coin that turns into a coin snake like in SM3DL
Boo Buddy Snake
Hold down on the Boo in the editor
Diagonal Lift
Normal lifts would be sloped like conveyor belts could, the grass ones in SMW would be a sloped version of the floating platforms in SMW, and they would also be affected by water like in SMW
Diagonal Cannon
They would be sloped pipes, and there would be an option to enable or disable cannon
Diagonal Semisolid
It would be its own item since their slope is different from normal block slopes since diagonal semisolids don’t have the blocks at the ends
Rex
It would be its own item
Dolphin
It would be nice its own item, likely in Gizmos, since it’s not an enemy
Ceiling Spike Trap
It would be a its own item, how it would be placed in game would be similar to semisolid platforms, you’d also be able to set how far up, down, left or right it goes, its speed and how long it pauses with the minimum being 0 and the maximum being the time limit, and you’d be able to remove the spikes for a normal platform
Eerie
It would be it’s own item
Fence
It would be like a semisolid platform but its own item and of course you would be able to climb on it, and if you place koopas or dry bones on it they would start climbing, and fences would be able to go behind blocks
Hotheads and Sparky
Hold down on the lava bubble in the editor
Fire Snake
Hold down on the lava bubble in the editor
Fire P-Pakkun
Hold down on the piranha plant in the editor
Volcano Lotus
It would be its own item, likely in Gizmos since it’s more of an obstacle than an item
Stretch Block
Hold down on either the brick blocks or the hard blocks
You would be able to adjust how far it goes, but only in odd numbers because in the editor it would only take up 1 block, the pause, which direction it stretches, and where it stretches from
Fishin’ Boo
Hold down on the Lakitu
Fishin’ Lakitu
Hold down on the Lakitu, and you would be able to choose what item it has for bait, and what item it throws, similar to normal Lakitus
Floating Platform
Hold down on the lift in the editor
There would be the grass platform and the wooden platform
Water Mine
It would be its own item, likely in Gizmos
Berry
Add bushes first, then berries could be placed on the bushes or on semisolids
Rope
Hold down on the vines in the editor
If you put ropes on a platform, it would be held on by a machine like in the original game
Fuzzy
It would be its own item
If it’s placed on the ground it would spin similar to Grindls from SM64 and Grrolls from NSMBU
Floor Moving Gap
It would be its own item
It would be an image of ground blocks with a gap
Put it on the top of an area of ground and it would remove the entire area of ground underneath it
You would be able to change the length, the speed, how far it goes and the direction
Grabbable Key
Hold down on the key and making it grabbable would be an option
Green Bubble
It would be its own item, likely in Gizmos
Pea Trampoline
Hold down on the springboards and it would be an option. It would snap to whatever ground block it’s connected to
Gray P-Switch
Hold down on the P-Switch in the editor
Hold down on the Gray P-Switch and there would be an option to edit block placement, and when it’s pressed, those blocks will spawn
Gray Coin
Hold down on the coin in the editor
Amazing Flyin’ Hammer Bro
Hold down on the hammer bro in the editor
Triangle Block
It would be its own item, likely in Gizmos
Blargg
It would be its own item
3-Up Moon
Hold down on the 1-Up Mushroom in the editor
Thwimp
Hold down on the Thwomp in the editor
Bony Beetle
Hold down on the Buzzy Beetle in the editor
Piston Lift
It would be its own item
It would be an image of a mushroom platform with up and down arrows
Adjusting the height change would be similar to adjusting the height of a normal mushroom platform, and you would be able to adjust the speed, and the pause time
Stake
It would be its own item
It would place one, just place another upside down
You would be able to adjust the speed, height and pause time
Message Block
It would be its own item, likely in Gizmos
Hopefully utilized in Super Mario Maker 3
The text walking with the missing feature is just perfect
Missing Things, All Mario Game Styles, All Game Themes, 3D Feature For 3D Game Styles and Night Feature For Both 2D And 3D Game Styles Could Be Featured In Mario Maker 3!
They are in the game. To unlock em you have to beat 1 trillion 1-1 remakes.
I really want them to add mega moles. It would go great with some ideas
I always thought the hammer bros was a big pelican donald duck man. Didnt question it and look harder for 20 years.
More items include:
Yellow Koopa Troopas, Dino torch, Rhino Dino, countdown platforms, switch palaces, switch palace blocks, Blue Yoshi, Yellow Yoshi, Rip Van Fish, key hole exit, orb exit, Reznors, roulette blocks, P-coins, P-blocks, super koopas, and Reznor platforms.
Don't forget dragon coins
We needed these.

The message block would be as useful as heck for tutorial levels, you don’t have to take almost the entire level just to write a word, in the meanwhile, if you could let those, you could guide the player!!
3:53 pakkun (flower) is what westerners know as "piranha plant"
All available block and NPC in SMBX2 beta 4 and super mario 4 jugadores
Alternate Title: Everything from Super Mario World that isn't in Super Mario Bros 3
So? Wigglers were only in SMW/SMBU, and they are available in other styles.
@@MarcusVinicius-no4nw he means in the original game
@@MarcusVinicius-no4nw Wigglers are already in Mario Maker 2
@@nataliemreow That's the point.
@@MarcusVinicius-no4nw Do we really need everything from Mario World?
You can use POW blocks for grabs block (place with when you are holding down
Well this is definitely way more than I thought it was
We also hope for Future Super Mario Maker entries upgrade Luigi's SMB3 skin from SNES All Stars, and SMA4 in the NES style, Cape Feather as an option changing Super Leaf in SMB3 as well. Letting spinning will brick blocks.
I really want the Rex, vertical run triangle thing, blue/ yellow koopas, blue/yellow Yoshi, and the chucks
Message blocks are one of my most wanted things for Mario Maker because they would be a much better way of telling people things in a level than comments. This is because some people have comments off and may not realise what is going on in some levels if they rely on comments to tell a story or something. However, knowing Nintendo, if they were added they would be overly limited like level descriptions with a low character limit :(
Just play SMBX or SMBX 2.0 it already has all these things.
I hope they're in the sequel + Steep slopes…
I just realised that the message block is a speaker isn't it.
Guess what? I rescued princess peach and i reached the special world!
2:36 I noticed
I wish those were added.
I bet all these were intensionally left out to save some new content for potential sequels.
The grabbing blocks was actually added... but for challenge completions
Grab Blocks, Big Boos, Mega Moles, Ball 'N' Chains, Chargin' Chucks, Eeries, and Amazing Flying Hammer Brothers are not missing because they can be recreated in SMM2.
Still missinh
The text was amazing you're very creative !
Fuzzies not being included is definitely the most mind-boggling one to me.
they were included tho
@@imahorriblepersonwithhorri6948 they... they weren't... they're not in SMM2
@@thepsycheduck oh i thought you meant in the video, duh
Maybe in a future update Nintendo will add all the missing things
The message block may have some inappropriate uses so I'm pretty glad they aren't in Mario Maker 2. Other than that, I wish these were in the game. (That would mean more idea videos :D)
Enemies, Gizmo, Parts, Items, coins.
Almost half of the things that are missing are in SMM2 fangames
You had fun editing the video didn't you?
7:40 strakes? more like pencils
I can see why they didn’t do the message block, after all, then people could put swears in their levels and not get caught as easily
Hmm rickroll
These videos are my favourites.
Visual documentation !!
This is so cool what you did for this video! How did you make the letters, enemies, and platforms move at the same time?
4:52 i ever thought that it's an apple
What about Super Mario Bros. 3-Style, New Super Mario Bros. U-Style & Super Mario 3D World-Style?
{😊🎮Update in super mario world + super mario maker 2 😁🕹️}
1:58 Fun fact: you control the coin snake... This mechanic is crazy, thinking it's from an old game.
You were able to kind of do the last one in the first game with the recording bird sound thing lol
Compared to the very satisfying old games like Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World, Super Mario Maker 2 is sorta like sex without an orgasm. It’s mostly just frustrating work missing what you used to get from someone else.
I mostly understand why most of these didn't make the Super Mario Maker Item Roster but they're some real wasted potential here, like the Charging Chuck's, Moving Spikes, and Slanted Pipes.
Why not try super Mario bros x, the pc fangame. It is years old, older than mm1, had slopes before that, has many features that mm1 AND 2 don't have, a really good map builder, and more. It has flaws, it has MANY pros, you should try it out.
Edit: it also has lots of things mentioned in this video, including, but far from limited to, ropes boo buddy snakes and message blocks, as well as things not mentioned in this video, such as the birds on yoshi's house.
And not to mention stompers or whatecer those brown things that tries to stomp you ar. And moving walls.
Fishing boo sucks for a name, if it was in SMM2 I think a good name would have been Lakiboo, but now they stopped updating the game majorly so that sucks.
7'47 (And signs)
Why is nobody talking about how cute Mario is in this video? I mean during the coin snake section, he literally moves in the direction the snake goes.
Message block would be chaotic
This video:
Triangular block
Geometry:
Wait, that's illegal
Nintendo please add triangular blocks in SMM3. Let us rotate it 4 ways so Mario can run up walls, on the ceiling, and transition back to ground with them. I want this the most on this list.
At 7:18 there's an ON/OFF Switch which wasn't added until Super Mario Maker 2. So what the hell?
Rex were the best enemy in smw no doubt
what we really need is fury bowser
Once febuary rolls around there will be 51 thisngs missing
Sigh if fury bowser isnt in 3d worl that confirms its dead
They are missing because they are not for every style.
7:14 _YES_
I think most needed thing is Goal Point Question Sphere for instawin
I find it shameful Nintendo didnt include everything from every game mode. I feel as if they know if that were possible we'd make better platform mario games then they can.
51 missing thing they need walls where morton and Roy can climb on pipes that wendy and lemmy can go through
i think blue & yellow koopas should've been there from the start
They were not included probably due to hardware limitations
You were very inspired during the editing process.
But we never saw them...
But maybe in Mario make 3...?
For pc: Super mario bros x2
For pc or loptop: Mario editor
Are have those but not that much😃
Super mario maker world engine 3.0.1 had a charging chuck
All of these should be in all styles, but some are in 3D world.
El jugador de fútbol americano y eso esqueletos chiquitos y redonditos están en una fangame llamado Mario maker World engine que es para pc y android
And, of course, the Yellow P-Switch.
I think there could be a second part with other missing items: Torpedo Ted, Bowser Statue, Pillar, Falling Spike, Timed Plataforms, Rip Van Fish, Swoop, Fuzzy, Urchin, Porcupuffer, Torpedo Ted.
Maks Koopas, Cape Koopas, yellow shells, blue yoshi and yellow yoshi.
