Thank you for the way you did this brother’s crown. You are blessed with strong hands & a dynamic talent for doing WICS like this. Seeing your work has shown me how this works. I appreciate you His crown is gorgeous!!! 🌷❤️🔥🔥🔥
Ok so I’m trying to teach my self to do my boyfriends hair. What size needle should I use. Also what exactly am I doing with the needle as I’m going in and out
I think this depends on the method but if you do crochet maintenance it can vary from 6 months to a year if you want more of a freeform, or fuller look. Some people retighten every 2-3 months, I've done with and without rubberbands. If you use rubber bands it's good to take them out in a couple of weeks to let the roots rest.
The worst thing with the use of rubberbands would be tying them too tight. There are larger ones that I use for wicks (listed on my Amazon storefront) they are very gentle and can be used to train the hair to grow inside of the wick. I typically use them when the new growth is way too short to catch with the crochet hook or if the client requests it (for sleekness)
They don't all require rubberbands but it's a preference. If I do major repair work at the root, the hair is sometimes too short to hold what I've done with the crochet hook.

What are the blond/brown pieces you wrapped around some ends after reattaching the large ends?
It's just some human hair I had. I pre-lightened it to prep for the red color.
Hi. How often do you recommend wicks being Retwisted?

@@ShondieLocsWhat are the pro and con effects of using a rubber-band vs without rubber-band?

Thank you!!
When do you take the rubber bands off?
It varies, but I'd recommend taking out after a couple of weeks
Nice work. But my clients don’t want any rubber bands. So I have to work extra hard to tighten as close to the scalp as possible
Whats the blue thing in the shampoo bowl?
A gel pad for their necks.
What size needle is that ?
What did u have her lay on?
In the beginning, an inflatable shampoo basin. www.amazon.com/shop/influencer-70b92451
