RV Skylight installation replacement and repair shower bathroom dome skylight leak Easy DIY Project

This is the process to replace an RV Skylight on the roof of a Class A Motorhome RV. This is a straight forward process, see the links down below to the products used in this video. This is a 2018 Thor Motorcoach Hurricane 34J Class A Motorhome. This skylight broke when I put my hand on it and it was very brittle and caused a large hole. the only way to repair it is to replace the whole skylight. Thanks for the video. Using a heat gun on the lap sealant and Butyl rubber makes life easier, but don't damage/melt the roof! also use a plastic scraper/putty knife where you can, metal can damage the roof easier. Also clean the roof surface with a commercial cleaner and then alcohol before applying new sealant.

I did the same darn thing today.. Put my hand on the skylight went right through .. What did you use for a skylight . I want to get the right size height wise.. Where did you get it.. A link on here would be good... I have a 2015 Thor Hurricane 34J

Yeah, mine was very fragile and cracked very easily, I believe this is the one that I bought on Amazon, but I would go up and measure yours just to verify the dimensions
