I wish we could embed the newsletter as an html, then send them right away to my email list without getting/paying for an email management system.
And that publish-as-a-website option looks cool.
If you have a wordpress website, you can use the free plugin called "the newsletter" which basically hosts your own email management system on that wordpress site. The free version is very basic, but it's free as in free, and you own the data. There is a paid version with bells and whistles but you don't need it. The free version allows you to embed HTML directly in the email.
me too, I didn't see that as an option correct?
Why can’t You convert your documents from pdf to html. Just google convert pdf or other format to html?
Simply copy / paste the whole thing as a jpg right into the body of your gmail @@LifestyleDIYW
Love all your presentations, I've learned so much, thank you.
I learn something new every time I watch your video, that mailchimp connectivity is pure gold. Thank you so much 🤙

Thank you Ronny! Always an avid fan!
Thank-you!
I have got to learn something about newsletter even though I took "Journalism" as my "Minor" subject since last year.
My interest was fading in the subject but after watching your videos it gives me some hope to effectively use the course.
Awesome!
I think knowing how to create engaging newsletters is a really important skill to develop 👍✨
Epic, my newsletters have been quite boring and always meant to glam them up a bit but didn't bother learning how. Thank you so much for this 💗💗💗
You're very welome!
Wow! Thank you so much Ronny, for always giving us valuable teachings here. This is amazing.
I'll like to ask though, what software do I use to create this kind of videos like yours, that allows me show what I'm doing on my laptop in the background. I love your videos ❣️
It’s really a Picture in Picture (PIP). He’s more than likely behind a green screen or green sheet and using Adobe as editing software or Final Cut Pro
Awesome! Always learning new things
Realy Great to like this video is very imporrtant to appreciation!!!

Mind blowing tutorial
This video solved a lot of problems for me. Thank you!
So glad it did 🙌❤️
Question I can't seem to find the answer to. I chose one of your background images, want to use it again but in a different color. Can't change the color without losing the image. Is there a tutorial for that?
Brilliant, love it!
Thank you Cinthya 💜
Glad you did!
Really appreciate ❤️

great content!!! Thank you so much!
My pleasure, I'm glad you found it useful 💛
Great topic always..More power to both of you with Diana💗
Thank you dear!
Hi Ronnie & Diana, thank you so much for all of your wonderful tutorials!! I would like to change our team's current newsletter that we were using Outlook and now we want to step up our game and use a Canva Template; however, we want to use a short 2-3 minute video within the newsletter. Could you give us some advice on how we could do that? Do we need mail chimp or another service in order to do that?
Hi Natalie,
yes. You'll need a third party email management system, because right now Canva doesn't allow you to manage nor send these emails.
What you can do, though, is to design the emails in Canva.
We use Mailchimp which integrates nicely with Canva. Like I show in the video.
Hope this answers your question 😁
Great!!👌
Fantastic video!
Thank you Francia 💜✨
does anyone know how to find the waves he has inserted in the background of the email header. Im searching through elements on Canva but can not find anything like it
Amazinggg! Thank youuuuuu!!!!!
Glad you like it!
Thank you for that video. Can you make one with text message. I don't send email but text message to my clients
Hello! Thank you for sharing this information. If you don't mind. What program do you use to edit your youtube videos? Thank you!
Hola chicas! We use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit our videos 🤓
I keep looking for a video about how to flow text in a newsletter so that it wraps photos, etc. Don't see it here. Anyone anywhere know where this information might be?
Hey thank you for this helpful video Ronny! just a quick question . after I save it as pdf file ! when I send them to the customers the email only showed the file not the images. how can I send them as image with links not the file folder ? thank you so much.
Your only option to send as images is to export it as a JPG or PNG and paste that/those image(s) into your email. Then each image can have one link.
are we able to create clickable links and save directly to mailchimp?
This was very helpfull. Thank you very much. You said at the end for mobile view. What to use if you want to make newsletter so it can look good on desktop and mobile? Or it will be appliable for both?
It's important to understand that Canva will only let you create visuals for your newsletter, not yet full emails. So if you create visuals or flat images, these should be responsive when you paste them into your emails.
@@TeamRonDi I understand. I’ll try playing. Thank you
I didn't even think about making an email header. Did that while watching the video. Thank you! Going to go explore the rest of your tutorials on UA-cam. :) Is there a way to embed the email newsletter into the email body without having to attach it? For visual purposes?
Thanks!
I haven't found any way to embed the email directly into your email body, unfortunately 🥺
Nice video❤❤😊😊.. I've sent you link in your community post.. Have you edited?
Hi! I'm following the instructions to create content on Canva to use on Mailchimp but the header image doesn't look great in the emails, it looks blurred, and not a good quality image, even if I'm using the same size you did on your video, any idea how to fix that? Thank you!
An easy fix would be to double or triple the dimensions.
Hi Ronny i need to create an email news letter but i dont know where i should start to have all this features you demonstrating with. not even a soft ware.
I personally use Mailchimp, try to look it up on UA-cam, I’m sure there are plenty of tutorials.
Nice, ,👍
Very nice something new
I’m glad you found the tutorial helpful 🤩
Oh thank you, I have few ideas added ........ Please post alot of tips you help alot of freelancer just like me
Will do!
Thank you Maricar 💜
Is there a way to do this with omnisend?
I like canva 💚💚💚
Connecting to Mailchimp is problematic for MacBook Air 2022. Once in design editor there are no 3 dots in the upper right corner to select Mailchimp though all the tutorials say there are. A fellow on another site reported this problem and overcame it but didn't say how.
Hey there 👋
Canva redesigned the "Share" button and the features have been shuffled there.
Here's how to find it:
Click on the " *Share* " button, once you are done editing your design
Select "... More" at the bottom of that menu
Scroll down and locate the Mailchimp button
Let me know if you can find it 😉
Thanks for Mailchimp info. How do I embed sign up form on my Canva website? Cut and pasted Mailchimp code but can't work out how to embed form on my website. Thanks
Hey Carlene,
Canva doesn’t have a native capture form feature for now but here is a video where I show an interesting workaround:
ua-cam.com/video/b2MRCWwnB1A/v-deo.html
Hello! I was wondering how to go about making a Desktop and a Mobile version of my email newsletter on Canva?
If you use the new website feature to create it, the content will adapt to both mobile and desktop screens.
Also if you use an email management software like Mailchimp the content will also be responsive.
Thanks!! I Used this method in my religious pages. I Love Canva!!
Glad we could help you dear 💛
Because it is my moral science project 👍👍
Hi Ronnie & Diana!
I Already made my Webpage with canva using my personal domain, but when I put an email icon, I cannot embed my mail directly.
If you know how to use this option, I'll be so greatful with you guys!
Hi Fernando,
you should be able to able to add a link to your email in that email icon via the " *Link* " button.
Simply use that button, paste your email address and hit "enter".
Let me know if that works? 😉
Great content, I was lost on the email link to publish as a website. What stage would I copy the link? Thanks in advance
Once you publish your design as a website, You'll see a button to easily copy your website's link. Otherwise, when you are visiting the website, simply copy the URL and that's what you need to share for people to get to your website.
Awesome 👏
Thank you Leah!
Hey Ronny, I wondered why John Oliver was teaching people how to use Canva! 😀
haha, I get this quite often 😎
how can i send this dessign by email? you know like shein’s newslatter or any company? help
This is great! But how do we publish a newsletter that contains links AND video clips? The only option is choosing MP4 video, but that just turns it into a video newsletter without clickable links or videos. I'm super frustrated. I love Canva for all it's creativity- but this is my first time creating a newsletter (spent over 18 hours on it + troubleshooting hours) and I had no idea it would be this complicated to publish a newsletter! Basically, I'm stuck with pasting a link to the newsletter as a composed message I email out to readers! That doesn't sound right. ?
The thing is if you don’t have Mailchimp or a similar email management platform you’ll be stuck to what you are describing. Canva will help you design your newsletters, not send them.
I love your videos and find them very very useful! A question about this one - is there a way I make a png/jpeg file in canva with clickable elements and simply put it as an email body in mailchimp?
Looking for something similar
No, you’ll always need to insert your links from Mailchimp, unfortunately 🥹
@@TeamRonDi I understand, thank you!
Where can I find such decorative lines that you have in your email header? 8:04
If the clickable newsletter is saved as pdf, how do I attached it in an email without it being an attachment.. ppl are always scared of opening links or attachments.. is there a way to insert it on an email so they can see the image as soon as they open the email? thanks so much! learning a ton here
The other way would be to export the entire thing as a .png or .jpg and paste that into your email, which I don’t recommend because you loose the ability to add multiple links.
what if my canva made newsletter has video on it how do add this with the rest of the newsletter template that i used
In this video I show you how to create the visuals you need for your MailChimp newsletters. You can add videos in your newsletters made in Canva by either embedding UA-cam videos or adding videos from the Canva Library (or your uploads).
My hyperlinks created in Canva on my newsletter don't work when the design is saved to Mailchimp. How do I fix this please?!
Try to add the link once again via MailChimp. So by clicking on the photos and adding the link in the image attribute.
is it possible to create a dorpdown list on canva website?
Not at the moment, no.
But I’d love to have that feature too 🤞
As always, very informative, thank you.
One question. How do I convert the Canva designed newsletter into HTML?
Hey Mark,
I'm not sure you can actually get html code from Canva 🤔
Seems a lot of people are wanting the same thing (me included) to be able to take the design and import into our email CRM (NOT mailchimp), but can't export the HTML....@@TeamRonDi
@@WendyDarr Still looking for a perfect solution ;(
Hi Ronnie .
I love to use Canva ,but I'm still new to be professional.
Could you please answer me : can I use my newsletter (click able) for stories and reels in Instagram, FB and Snapchat?
Thanks
Hi Madina,
not really, no. Newsletters are meant to be send via email.
@@TeamRonDi thank you for answering.
I tried this, but used the embed html feature. When I send a test email from my email platform, it shows correctly in that system, but when I check the email in Gmail, it is blank. All I did was insert the html code in the correct area while creating the email. Any idea why it would not show up once sent? I checked it on desktop and mobile.
I’ve never gotten the embed html to work when generated with Canva.
So I’m afraid I can’t really help you. But feel free to get in touch with Canva directly via this Messenger link: bit.ly/message-canva
Does it integrate with ConertKit too, or just MailChimp?
Hi Renee,
I'm not aware of an integration with Convertkit so far.
Is there a way to create a newsletter that you can place into the body of the email without using mail chimp?
Only if everything is exported as an image.
But not super practical.
But before You switch to Mailchimp as You save it tells You on that last screen View in Mailchimp
Not sure what your question is dear 🤔
Ronny Which fond is used in canvas logo
It's a logo, I don't think there is a font.
👏👏👏
Yayy!
mailchimp doesn't accept PDF Standard file. and clickable buttons don't work in png/jpg files. what should we do?
Export your visuals as PNG/JPG, add them to your Mailchimp emails and insert links to these visuals via Mailchimp just like I show in the video.
Maybe a question for another video, but how can you build an e-mail list to begin with? Thanks! Nice newsletter video by the way.
Hi Enrique,
yes this is a pretty vast question. There are tons of ways to build an email list.
We do it via our FB community (FB group), and use the 3 questions members have to answer to drive people to our list.
I created a newsletter with video links on my letter but when I emailed it to myself to make sure the links worked. The links did not work! What did I do wrong?
It's hard to say without seeing your design.
Feel free to past a link and we'll have a look.

can't upload PDF Standard file onto mailchimp, says file not supported. anyone enlighten me here?
Try exporting into PNG or JPG.
@@TeamRonDi Hi thank you for the prompt reply.
when i save my work in png/jpg files and transfer to mailchimp, the clickable button don't work.
you demo'ed how you create a clickable button on canva then download it to PC in PDF Standard, anyway you can directly do that onto mailchimp from Canva to still make the clickable button work?
Can you do a video on how to embed an email newsletter with clickable link or hyperlinks? Or is it possible?
I don’t think you can embed a newsletter with Canva. Or if there is a way I never knew how to do it 🤔
@@TeamRonDi yeah, I thought I should ask a expert and glad I did before I started to pull out my hair trying to find ways to make it happen. Thank you!
why does it not work in my gmail ? it says the url is incorrect or cant find the image, but everything else work,i hit a brick wall there......🤔
It's hard for me to say without "looking over your shoulder", sorry.
On canva, I created a full newsletter and had multiple hyperlinks. When I try to upload into Mailchimp it will upload as pictures and none of the links work. When I save it as a pdf, I can only upload it as a link, not the full design I created. How can I create my newsletter completely in canva with all my hyperlinks and the links remain on Mailchimp?
You can’t.
What I’m showing in this tutorial is how to create your visuals in Canva and have them ready to use in the MailChimp gallery. You’ll still need to apply your links via Mailchimp.

is it possible to transfer your canva template to Mailchimp as a template and not an image?
Not for now, I'm afraid... Though that'd be great! Maybe in the future? 😍
Yup. My struggle. Glad I saw this because I thought that I was missing something.
With option 4 , you can’t insert hyperlinks?
Hi there,
could you share the timestamp in the video related to what you are saying? I'd love to help you but I'm not sure what you are referring to 🤔
@@TeamRonDi it’s okay, the penny dropped! Option 4 was a mobile first presentation but I wanted to insert hyperlinks and send it out as a newsletter. I created a website instead. Thanks for replying though.
I am unable to connect to mailchimp, canva says not enough permissions to publish. I have tried several times but saying same
🤔 not sure what could be wrong.
Same for me and same for a bunch of users! No answer nowhere!
It's a shame Canva doesn't let you mark up heasings as headings (h1, h2 etc) so can't create accessible content
Let’s hope they change that in the future 🤞
Team RonDi can you show us how to make study thumbnails in Canva(free)
please it's a humble request....
I don't see three little dots in the right hand top corner............5:06 minutes into this???
Mmmm ... Can be because Canva redesigned the "Share" menu recently!
Try to look behind "Share".
I have never received a Canva newsletter…. 😢

what is a newsletter
Newsletters are emails with news or promotional announcement you can send to your audience.
What good is a PDF with links in it if I can email it to anyone?
Not sure I understand what you mean 😅
love this content! question: when i try to share the email newsletter as an email... it comes up as a PDF attachment... how can i share the email and have this image come up so they don't have to click on the pdf file to actually see the content...?
You could download it as a PNG and upload that flat image in your email. In that case you only add one link. If you need several links, then break it down into several PNGs.
I think you should focus on delivering what the title says: "How to make..." Too much talk of why up front.
Thanks for the honest feedback Amy.
You are right! I'm working on improving my hooks/intros for UA-cam and cutting to the chase.
The newer videos should be more straightforward.
I hope you'll give them a try 😊
The title is a bit misleading. This is showing us how canva can be beneficial. The title is about how to make it. I expected a detailed explanation on the how to produce the newsletter
Sorry if you thought so, I hope you still learned some useful tips though 🙏
