Great advice for our upcoming holiday .Can i ask if you know if there are bus stops ? Staying at Gran Serenis ( not as far as Akumel), so is an ADO bus not for us ?
There were stops but I guess you could check at the Bus Station or go on a Colectivo. I hear both are safe but the Colectivos are by the Walmart on I think it is 30th. Good Luck! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this video. We are travelling light and only have a backpack and carryon each. We would prefer not to use the storage area for the carryons. Will they let us take our backpack and carryon onboard the bus?
U may be able to take ur backpacks onto the bus and use the overhead storage but may have to monitor it as there have been thefts with overhead storage when people leave the bus and by the time u notice, they r gone! Good luck! 🤞
That is a good question. Backpacks probably yes but the carryons might depend on any open seats. I have heard of theft of luggage on buses so I see your point. Thank you for watching!
This is TRULY a great video with GREAT information! Exactly was I was looking for!! Do you know how safe is to leave your luggage? Also, can I buy an ADO "open" ticket to Cancun or does it have to be a specific time ticket? Planning to go to Tulum (leave luggage) but I don't want to miss the bus if I come back late. Left luggage looked safe. But I am a leery traveller and always skeptical. Great question about the “open” ticket. I’m not sure about this one because I always buy my ticket the day before for a specific time and bus. Bummer…. I need to get an answer for that great question because I think it would be a FAQ. Sorry I don’t have the answer but I guess that could be the first question you ask when you get there and then decide accordingly. I don’t think I have been a lot of help. Maybe I see you in the bus or at the station. Good luck!

Yes, there is a direct bus departing from Playa del Carmen and arriving at Valladolid. Services depart every three hours, and operate every day. The journey takes approximately 2h 30m.
