Medication has a place....but it is not my recommended first line of defense. Unfortunately so many women are offered medication for their urinary challenges without being told about pelvic floor physical therapy and the lifestyle recommendations. Surgery and medication are options when all else fails but I recommend doing 'all the basics, first line approaches' first.
