How to connect your astrophotography mount to a laptop: ASCOM Basics

In this video we look at ASCOM, what it is, why its useful for astrophotography, and how we can use it to control our telescope mounts and gain a more comprehensive functionality than is possible with the handset! Intended for those new to ASCOM, or those having difficulty setting it up.
Because of the subject matter, this video is quite long.
As with all my videos, I don't claim to be an 'authority' on the subject in question, but hope my understanding and personal experience of it are helpful to others, as other peoples have been to me. If you have any tips, suggestions or additional info, please share in the comments section.
