Sama'Rock Festival was proud to welcome first Mongolian band and it was a very special occasion. The Hu play Hunnu rock, a unique local genre that combines metal with traditional Mongolian folk instruments and throat singing.
He managed to make a string instrument sound like an angry horse! The HU is so awesome
Its a Traditional Instrument called a "Horse Head Fiddle" in Mongolian
16 people have absolutely no idea what art is. This is amazing.

What do you get when you put 8 fantastic musicians together? You get The HU! This is some of the best music to come out in years! These guys have studied/worked/practiced music for years and it shows!
UA-cam introduced The HU to me two months ago and am really glad they did. Am going to see The HU in concert at the Eagles Ballroom/The Rave in September!

I have been following The HU with a chance view on UA-cam and was amazed at their Yuve Yuve Yuve song. I knew I was watching something special like the birth of a SuperBand that quickly went from 380000 views to over 15 Million views in a few months.

Everything about them is perfect. They have stable image, every new song is becoming more and more interesting. Their lyrics are so powerful and empowering plus music 🥰🤗

I've been a Rocker since the time before time. I've grown up with best and loved every second of it as the music took me down the only road worth walking 'The Road Of Rock' but nothing has touched my very soul as these guys do.

@PurelyAfrican Absolutely true. I love everything about this band, the traditional instruments, the throat singing and how amazingly well they blended different type of music together. I also like the way they dressed probably just like this ancestors.
I even never liked the heavy metal bands before but "The Hu" changed it.

I love the combination of native instruments and throatsinging with modern rock. I don't think I've seen anyone from a completely new (to the West) culture break out with such an original sound. I can't recall anyone else having done so, anyway. Great music! And BTW, I'm a retired white woman in the Pacific Northwest, so it's not JUST music for young people!

It's not traditional Mongolian music added to metal. It's a few hard-rock/early metal components absorbed by already metal- sounding traditional Mongolian music.
What you see as new was already ancient.
It is powerful and beautiful, spiritual and gentle, at the same time. Enjoy.

You are not the only antediluvian my lady. Discovering this band brings as much joy to me as when I first heard King Crimson,Court of The Crimson King. The Yes Album. Emerson Lake and Palmer. If you like this,go back to Rick Wakeman's album ,Six Wives of Henry the Eighth. Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull. I thought I had lost my capacity to feel the pleasure I took in hearing the Santana Abraxas album. Glad to know I was wrong.
I'm 65 lol, but my brain seems stuck at 30. I enjoy finding new musical styles like the Hu, I was never one for pop music. Like Paul Manson in this thread I preferred the unusual bands like King Crimson and Rick Wakeman, Tomita and Incredible String Band etc.
