I WAS THERE!!!!! This was the 2nd time I saw Lady T live!!!! It was 113 degrees that day and worth every minute of waiting in the hot sun for her! Oh how I love her voice, her lyrics, her style....TRUE TALENT!!!! Rest In Paradise Ms. Lady T, Vanilla Child, Teena Marie. You are TRULY MISSED!!!!!!
Thank you.! I have not been feeling good and this just put a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. My first concert was Teena Marie In Boston when I was only 15 years old, my sister and I just happen to go out the wrong door while leaving and we noticed a bus on the backside of downtown crossing behind the theater. We had T shirts we had purchased at the show. . We looked up into the window of the bus and realized it was her bus. We knocked on the door and asked if we could meet her. She emerged from the back of the bus and invited us on . We were in Shock! She was so nice, I started to cry and tell her how much I loved her. She signed all the stuff we purchased, plus gave me the Starchild album and signed it, NO cell phone cameras back then, just a memory I will never forget. My sister and I walked up the street arm in arm crying tears of joy that we met our idol, it has bonded us forever. And we still talk about how much we love her. We are now 56 and 54 years old now. There will never be another Teena Marie. RIP soulful angel.
It's 8/24/24 and I'm still missing "Lady T"... I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see her perform live several times. There will never be another Teena Marie. 💖

Wow I can't believe this is the first time I am seeing this. I love Teena and this bought tears to my eyes. She will always be my favorite singer period. Such a talented writer, producer, arranger and singer. So so underrated and will never be forgotten, and always tops in my playlist until the day I leave this earth. So proud to brag that I have seen her perform on 4 continents and they are some of the most memorable times of my life. RIP Lady Tee.
