In my dream world there was a kiss. I wonder if the ban on their kissing was a factor to the shows cancelation. One Life To Live had a gay storyline that was canceled. It caused their viewership to go to the lowest in the history of the show. With in a 1 1/2 years their show was canceld.
Apparently, the AFA (American Family Association) was complaining. It didn't play into cancelation, I don't think. They started kissing again way before the cancelation announcement. When Luke and Noah started up ratings, actually bumped up, they were coming in around 3rd among soaps for a bit. Had they focused more on Luke and Noah and less on characters like Sophie, it may have helped. I think P&G wanted out of soaps. After Guiding Light getting the axe ATWT was hanging by a thread. By 2010 and the new headwriter who made things 10x worse storywise the show was doomed.
