Anol Chatterjee | Raag Shuddha Bhairavi | Khyal Gayaki | Indranil Mallick | Gourab Chatterjee

Though Raag Bhairavi is one of the ten basic ragas of Indian Classical Music, it is generally sung as Mishra Bhairavi in Thumri Dadra form and in other lighter form of Indian Music. It’s Shuddha or pure form was unavailable. Padmabhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty jee first ever made an intensive research on how Bhairavi can be sung in its pure form in Khyal Gayaki.
Anol Chatterjee being his Pandit jee’s one of the most prominent disciples, performed Raga Shuddha Bhairavi in Khyal form at a concert organised by Sangeet Natak Academi at New Delhi.
