This was one of the earliest games I remember playing on my parents' 386/33 back in the day. The soundtrack reminds me of the Sega Genesis Yamaha audio chip, which isn't a bad thing.
The OST isn't exactly what I remembered it to be... but it's still awesome. Someone should cover this game's OST instrumentally... I just sat around a bit with my guitar and tried to play Edrax from memory... But I wasn't very accurate... But I could easily find it... I'm pretty sure it's all played on a pentatonic scale. Yeah, Edrax is my favorite music from the game. ...And I'm used to the Stage Introduction music blending into the actual stage musics. Played this long ago back in the day, when there were only 486 machines, cd-rom drives just came out, as well as dos games like this. Got the shareware version of this game on a 3.5" floppy as a Christmas gift. Also the 1st game I ever played on a PC. Anyway, I just played the full version on DOSbox but I was disappointed in the sound. I rather hear the midi version like the one in this video. But I have not found a way to configure this game for that. Does anyone know how to configure the sound for this game so that it only plays the Midi version? I tried in vain to mess with the config file in DOSbox but that worked to no avail.
I'm curious. How did you record the music in DOSBox? Did you kill off the game's speed while recording? merdink recorded the music while he was playing, so the level music changes after one minute and fifty-eight seconds, because each level only lasts that long.

32 years old and finally able to beat all 6 worlds. For some reason as a kid this game was impossible for me to beat..
