Interpretation of Orthopantomogram (OPG) In Detail

In this video, we talk about Orthopantomogram's interpretation. Orthopantomgram (OPG) is one of the most widely used x-rays in dentistry. When we look at a patient's OPG, different structures can be appreciated if looked for properly.
Since OPG is one of the basic x-rays used in dentistry, it is of paramount importance that students, dental surgeons, and any person related to dentistry should be able to identify different structures that can be appreciated in an OPG. Basic knowledge of an OPG helps to understand the basic anatomy of the mandible and maxillary teeth and structures surrounding them.
Along with this, different pathologies can also be detected in an OPG such as impacted third molars, lesions, tumours and extent of these pathologies can also be seen.
